Abstract
Penelitian korelasi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterampilan komunikasi sosial dengan kesepian siswa SMA Islamic Centre Kota Tangerang. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Islamic Centre sebanyak 188 siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen Real Electronic Communication Skills (RECS) dan UCLA-Loneliness Scale Version-3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya korelasi negatif antara keterampilan komunikasi sosial dengan kesepian siswa SMA Islamic Centre Kota Tangerang. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan komunikasi sosial siswa sebanyak 70% berada pada kategori sedang dan kesepian siswa sebesar 52% berada pada kategori rendah. Prosentase tersebut menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan komunikasi sosial pada siswa cukup baik dan tingkat kesepian siswa rendah. Oleh sebab itu, Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling dapat merancang kegiatan bimbingan kelompok untuk mempertahankan tingkat keterampilan komunikasi sosial siswa sehingga tingkat kesepiannya tetap rendah. This correlation study aims to determine the relationship between communication skills and the loneliness of Islamic Centre high school in Tangerang City. The sample in this study was Islamic Center high school students as many as 188 students. Sampling using random sampling technique. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was collected using Real Electronic Communication Skills (RECS) and UCLA-Loneliness Scale Version-3 instruments. The results showed that there was a negative correlation between communication skills and the loneliness of Islamic Centre high school students in Tangerang City. These results indicate that 70% of students' social skills are in the medium category and 52% of students' loneliness is in the low category. This percentage shows that the social skills of the students are quite good and the level of student loneliness is low. Therefore, Guidance and Counseling Teachers can design group guidance activities to maintain the level of students' social communication skills so that the level of loneliness remains low.
