Abstract

ABSTRAK Muhammad Faisal Fahmi Asnawi. “Strategi Kebertahanan Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) di Masa Pandemi Covid-19 (Studi Kasus: 3 Pelaku Kuliner Desa Klorogan, Kab. Madiun, Jawa Timur) Skripsi. Jakarta: Program Studi Sosiologi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1). Mendeskripsikan tantangan yang dihadapi pelaku UMKM bidang kuliner dalam menjalankan usahanya di masa pandemi Covid-19. (2). Mendeskripsikan strategi bertahan yang dilakukan pelaku UMKM bidang kuliner di masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Subjek penelitian yaitu 3 pelaku UMKM bidang kuliner di desa Klorogan dan perangkat desa di desa Klorogan. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori struktur fungsional dengan pola AGIL Talcott Parsons (Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, Latency). Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Desa Klorogan, Kecamatan Geger, Kabupaten Madiun. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Desember 2020 - April 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan yang dihadapi pelaku UMKM kuliner selama pandemi Covid-19 adalah menurunnya jumlah pembeli, sulitnya mencari bahan baku, menaiknya harga kebutuhan pokok, pembatasan jam operasional dan minimnya penguasaan teknologi. Strategi yang dilakukan pelaku UMKM kuliner adalah dengan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dan barang, melakukan diversifikasi pekerjaan dan melibatkan anggota keluarga untuk ikut membantu bekerja, menerapkan pola hidup hemat seperti mengurangi jumlah karyawan, mengurangi persediaan barang dagangan, mengurangi durasi waktu bekerja, dan mengurangi pengeluaran kebutuhan keluarga. Kemudian memanfaatkan jaringan sosial seperti menjalin hubungan relasi di lingkungan sosial maupun kelembagaan, dan memanfaatkan dana bantuan sosial. Strategi tersebut sangat berpengaruh terhadap kebertahanan usaha pelaku UMKM kuliner selama menghadapi era pandemi Covid-19. Jakarta: Sociology Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Jakarta State University, 2022. This study aims to (1). Describe the challenges faced by SMEs in the culinary sector in running their business during the Covid-19 pandemic. (2). Describe the survival strategy carried out by MSME actors in the culinary field during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The research subjects were 3 SMEs in the culinary field in the village of Klorogan and village officials in the village of Klorogan. The theory used is the theory of functional structure with Talcott Parsons' AGIL pattern (Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, Latency). The research location was conducted in the village of Klorogan, Geger District, Madiun Regency. The study was conducted from December 2020 - April 2021. The results show that the challenges faced by culinary MSME actors during the Covid-19 pandemic are the decreasing number of buyers, difficulty in finding raw materials, rising prices of basic necessities, restrictions on operating hours and lack of mastery of technology. The strategy carried out by culinary MSME actors is to improve the quality of services and goods, diversify work and involve family members to help work, implement a frugal lifestyle such as reducing the number of employees, reducing merchandise inventory, reducing the duration of working time, and reducing family expenses. Then take advantage of social networks such as establishing relationships in the social and institutional environment, and utilizing social assistance funds. This strategy is very influential on the business survival of culinary MSME actors during the Covid-19 pandemic era. Keyword: Survival Strategy, MSMEs, Covid-19 Pandemic
