Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil deskripsi kesalahan penggunaan huruf kapital, tanda baca (tanda titik, tanda koma, tanda tanya, dan tanda seru), dan kata berimbuhan awalan dan akhiran pada tugas siswa kelas lima sekolah dasar serta untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya kesalahan penggunaan ejaan siswa kelas lima sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah menurut Miles dan Huberman, yaitu data reduction, data display, dan conclusion drawing/verification. Teknik pengumpulan dan perekaman data yang dilakukan yaitu metode simak dan teknik catat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memberikan tiga kali tugas saat pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ditemukan kesalahan penggunaan ejaan yang paling sering terjadi dari ketiga tugas, yaitu: (1) kesalahan penggunaan huruf kapital sebanyak 487 kesalahan, (2) kesalahan penggunaan tanda titik sebanyak 31 kesalahan, (3) kesalahan penggunaan tanda koma sebanyak 22 kesalahan, (4) kesalahan penggunaan kata berimbuhan awalan sebanyak 11 kesalahan, dan (5) kesalahan penggunaan kata berimbuhan akhiran sebanyak 3 kesalahan. Kesalahan penggunaan ejaan yang terjadi pada siswa adalah mistake atau kekeliruan, yang disebabkan oleh faktor performansi, artinya siswa lupa akan pengajaran ejaan yang dilakukan oleh guru. Kata Kunci: Analisis Kesalahan, Ejaan, Huruf Kapital, Tanda Baca, Kata Berimbuhan ********** This research aims to review the results of a description of misapplication of the capital letters, punctuation mark (full stops, commas, question marks, and exclamation points), and affix words with prefix and suffix on the task of fifth-graders elementary school and to find out the cause of misapplication of the spelling of fifth grade elementary school. This study uses a method of qualitative study with a phenomenology approach. Data analysis techniques used are according to Miles and Huberman, namely the data reduction, data, display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The data collection and recording techniques used were the listening method and the note-taking technique. This research was conducted by giving three assignments when learning Indonesian. The results of this study were found that the most common spelling errors of the three tasks were: (1) misapplication of the capital letters as many 487 mistakes, (2) misapplication of the full stops as many 31 mistakes, (3) misapplication of the commas as many 22 mistakes, (4) misapplication of the prefix words as many 11 mistakes, and (5) misapplication of the suffix words as many 3 mistakes. Spelling errors that occur in students are mistakes, caused by performance factors, meaning that students forget the spelling teaching done by the teacher.
