Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen program kelas unggulan Kompetisi Sains Nasional (KSN) di SMA Negeri Unggulan Mohammad Husni Thamrin Jakarta. Sub fokus penelitian ini adalah perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, wakil kepala sekolah bidang asrama, staf kurikulum bidang olimpiade, narasumber/pembina, peserta didik, dan orang tua murid. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Perencanaan program kelas unggulan KSN di SMA Negeri Unggulan Mohammad Husni Thamrin Jakarta dilaksanakan dengan rekrutmen peserta didik, rekrutmen narasumber/pembina, perencanaan pendanaan, perencanaan sarana dan prasarana, dan perencanaan materi pembelajaran, (2) Pelaksanaan program kelas unggulan KSN di SMA Negeri Unggulan Mohammad Husni Thamrin Jakarta diikuti oleh siswa kelas 10 dan kelas 11 yang terbagi menjadi 10 kelas yaitu bidang Geografi, bidang Kimia, bidang Astronomi, bidang Komputer, bidang Biologi, bidang Ekonomi, bidang Kebumian, bidang Fisika, bidang Matematika, dan Penelitian Ilmiah, (3) Pengawasan program kelas unggulan KSN di SMA Negeri Unggulan Mohammad Husni Thamrin Jakarta dilaksanakan secara langsung oleh wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, wakil kepala sekolah bidang asrama dan staf kurikulum bidang olimpiade dengan cara memantau dan berkeliling kelas saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. This study aims to describe the management of the featured class program of the National Science Competition (KSN) at the Mohammad Husni Thamrin State Prominent High School. The sub focus of this research is planning, implementation, and monitoring. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The informants in this study were the vice principal for curriculum, vice principal for boarding schools, curriculum staff for the olympics, resource persons/coachers, students, and parents of students. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The planning of the KSN featured class program at the State Senior High School Mohammad Husni Thamrin Jakarta is carried out by recruiting students, recruiting resource persons/coaches, planning funding, planning facilities and infrastructure, and planning learning materials, (2) The implementation of the KSN featured class program at the Mohammad Husni Thamrin State Senior High School Jakarta was attended by 10th and 11th grade students who were divided into 10 classes, namely Geography, Chemistry, Astronomy, Computers, Biology, Economics, Earth, Physics, Mathematics, and Scientific Research., (3) Monitoring of the KSN featured class program at the State Senior High School Mohammad Husni Thamrin Jakarta is carried out directly by the vice principal for the curriculum, the vice principal for the boarding school and the curriculum staff for the olympics by monitoring and walking around the class during the learning process.
