Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang implementasi charakter building training (CBT) dalam pengembangan karakter mahasiswa UIN Alauddin Makassar. Tujuan penelitian ini, untuk memberikan deskripsi tentang implementasi perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi training. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif serta memperhatikan aspek pedagogik dan fenomenologis. Bersumber pada data primer dan sekunder dengan teknik pengumpulan data menerapkan triangulasi teknik, triangulasi sumber, dan triangulasi teori. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa,tahap perencanaan dimulai dari sosialisasi kepada mahasiswa baru selaku peserta, pembentukan panitia, tim pelatih, mentor, narasumber materi, serta sarana prasarana yang dibutuhkan. Selanjutnya pelaksanaan training terbagi menjadi dua kelas yaitu indoor dan outdoor, adapun kegiatannya termasuk perkenalan, penyampaian materi, artshow atau unjuk bakat, diakhiri dengan sholat tahajud berjamah pada puncak acara outdoor. Kemudian tahap evaluasi dan tindak lanjut berupa pembinaan atau mentoring selama 40 hari pasca pelaksanaan training dan juga beberapa faktor yang menjadi penentu pada proses training selanjutnya diantaranya realitas iklim kampus, perspektif mahasiswa tentang program CBT, keterbatasan jumlah mentor, motivasi ikut CBT, keterbatasan waktu training, serta sarana prasarana perlu dikembangkan. ******** This study discusses the implementation of character building training (CBT) in character development of UIN Alauddin Makassar students. The purpose of this study, to provide a description of the implementation of planning, implementation and evaluation of training. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach and pays attention to pedagogic and phenomenological aspects. Sourced on primary and secondary data with data collection techniques applying technical triangulation, source triangulation, and theoretical triangulation. The results of the study stated that the planning stage started from socialization to new students as participants, the formation of a committee, a team of trainers, mentors, resource persons, and the required infrastructure. Furthermore, the implementation of the training is divided into two classes, namely indoor and outdoor, while the activities include introductions, material delivery, art shows or talent shows, ending with congregational tahajjud prayers at the peak of the outdoor event. Then the evaluation and follow-up stages are in the form of coaching or mentoring for 40 days after the implementation of the training and also several factors that will determine the next training process including the reality of the campus climate, student perspectives on the CBT program, limited number of mentors, motivation to join CBT, limited training time, and infrastructure need to be developed.
