Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian treatment by level 2ൈ2 dengan menerapkan dua perlakuan yaitu metode Structure Exercise Methode (SEM) berbantuan Mind Map dan metode problem solving terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis ditinjau dari kemampuan awal siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 128 siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) yang ada di Kabupaten Tangerang. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII Daar El Qolam 1 dan Daar El Qolam 4 yang diambil secara acak terpilih 2 kelas siswa yang belajar dengan metode Structure Exercise Methode (SEM) berbantuan Mind Map sebagai kelas eksperimen I dan 2 kelas siswa yang belajar dengan metode problem solving kelas eksperimen II. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi soal tes kemampuan penalaran matematis. Analisis data menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata dan uji ANOVA dua jalur menggunakan General Linear Model Univariate Analysis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, simpulan penelitian ini adalah (1) kemampuan penalaran matematis, kelompok siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode problem solving lebih tinggi dari kelompok siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode SEM berbantuan Mind Map, (2) Terdapat interaksi antara metode problem solving dan metode SEM berbantuan Mind Map terhadap kemampuan penalaran, (3) Kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa berkemampuan awal tinggi, kelompok siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode problem solving lebih rendah dari kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan metode SEM berbantuan Mind Map, dan (4) Kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa berkemampuan awal rendah, kelompok siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode problem solving lebih rendah dari kelompok siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode SEM berbantuan Mind Map. Temuan selama penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat konstribusi dari setiap pembelajaran, diantaranya: (1) pembelajaran menggunakan metode Structure Exercise Methode (SEM) berbantuan Mind Map dan metode problem solving memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa berpikir secara mandiri, (2) selama proses pembelajaran secara berkelompok mendorong siswa mempunyai daya nalar yang tinggi dan kreatif dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal yang diberikan, (3) kegiatan ini mampu memberikan kepuasan tersendiri dan rasa percaya diri dalam diri siswa. Lebih lanjut siswa dilatih untuk mampu secara mandiri maupun berkelompok mempertanggungjawabkan hasil kerjanya. This experimental study was aimed at analyzing with method used in this research is the treatment by level 2 × 2 by applying two treatments, namely: Structure Exercise Methode (SEM) methods assisting Mind Map and problem solving method in the ability of mathematical reasoning reviewed students' early abilities. The population of this study was 128 students of Islamic Junior High Schools (MTs) of the in regency of Tangerang. While.the randomly taken sample was students VII of Daar El Qolam 1 and Daar El Qolam 4, Four classes were choosen, two class students who learn to use Structure Exercise Methode (SEM) methods assisting Mind Map was assigned as experimental class I and two class students who learn to use problem solving method was assigned as experimental class II. The instrument used was test on mathematical reasoning ability. Data was analyzed using two different average test and ANOVA.The results showed that: (1) The findings of the research is the ability of mathematical reasoning students learn to use problem-solving method is higher than students who learn to use Structure Exercise Methode (SEM) methods assisting Mind Map, (2) there is influence significant interaction between Structure Exercise Methode (SEM) methods assisting Mind Map and problem solving method in the ability of mathematical reasoning students reviewed students' early abilities, (3) groups of students who have prior knowledge is high, the ability of students learn mathematical reasoning using Structure Exercise Methode (SEM) methods assisting Mind Map higher than the group of students who are taught using problem solving method, and (4) the group of students who have a lower initial ability, reasoning ability groups of students who learn to use problem solving method lower of a group of students learn by using Structure Exercise Methode (SEM) methods assisting Mind Map. There was also revealed that there was a contribution for each phase of the Structure Exercise Methode (SEM) methods assisting Mind Map and problem solving method on student’learning.
