Abstract

Tari merupakan salah satu konten pembelajaran anak usia dini, khususnya konten seni. Tari pada anak usia dini, memiliki kekhasan sendiri yakni tari yang berfokus pada anak sebagai pencipta gerak. Berbeda dari tari yang terdapat di lembaga kursus atau sanggar, orientasi tari pendidikan bukanlah menciptakan anak sebagai penari profesional. Pemahaman guru yang baik tentang tari pendidikan dapat mewujudkan pembelajaran tari yang sesuai bagi anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan sebagai responden adalah guru Taman Kanak-kanak Kecamatan Menteng. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemahaman responden berada dalam kategori “Cukup”, yaitu terdapat beberapa butir pertanyaan yang mendapatkan skor jawaban benar kurang dari 50%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman guru sudah berada dalam kategori cukup Dance is one of the early childhood learning contents, especially in art for early childhood. Dance in early childhood has its own specialty, where it focuses on children as the creator of the dance. Different from dance learning in courses or studios, the orientation of educational dance is not to create children as a professional dancer. Teacher needs to have the good understanding about educational dance in early childhood, so they can provide the ideal dance learning for early childhood student. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method and Kindergarten teachers in Menteng as a respondent filling out the questionnaire. The result of this research indicates that respondents knowledge is in the “enough” category. From five indicators in the questionnaire, the five indicators are in the “enough” category with a note that there are several questions that get a correct answer score of less than 50%. It can be concluded that the teacher’s understanding of dance in early childhood is in the sufficient category but does not yet have complete knowledge about educational dance or dance for early childhood.
