Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar IPS pada siswa kelas IV di SDN Manggarai 11 Pagi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Manggarai 11 Pagi sebanyak 36 siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan analisis data kuantitatif diperoleh prosentase minat belajar sebesar 64,44% pada siklus I dan pada siklus II sebesar 77,56%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan kesesuaian dengan hipotesis tindakan bahwa terjadi kenaikan dari pra penelitian ke siklus I dan siklus II melebihi 71% maka hipotesis diterima. Hasil analisis kualitatif membuktikan bahwa penggunaan media audio visual dapat meningkatkan minat belajar IPS. Siswa mampu memfokuskan perhatian kepada kegiatan pembelajaran, konsentrasi siswa mampu mengarah kepada proses pembelajaran, kegiatan pembelajaran IPS dilakukan siswa dengan senang hati. Dengan demikian dapat dinyatakan bahwa penggunaan media audio visual dapat meningkatkan minat belajar IPS siswa kelas IV di SDN Manggarai 11 Pagi Jakarta Selatan. The studied aim to improve the interest learning in social studies at the fourth grade in Manggarai 11 Pagi Elementary School. The subjects were students at the fourth grade in Manggarai 11 Pagi elementary school many as 36 students. The method used is classroom action research. The collection of data that is used by the instruments, observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the analysis of quantitative the results showed data obtained by the percentage of interest learning in social studies by 64,44% in the first cycle and the second cycle of 77,56%. The result indicate conformity with the hypothesis of action there is an increase from pre-study to the first cycle and second cycle exceeds 71% then the hypothesis is accepted. The result of qualitative analysis proves that the audio visual media can increase the interest learning in social studies. students are able to focus on learning activities, students are able to lead the concentration of the learning activities and students do the learning activities gladly. Thus it can be stated that the audio visual media can enhancing interest learning in social studies at the fourth grade in Manggarai 11 Pagi elementary school.
