Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai Strategi Pengembangan Minat Membaca Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun di Taman Bermain Kepompong yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari-Juli 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di Taman Bermain Kepompong. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi/kesimpulan. Pemeriksaan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi dan member check. Temuan hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Tujuan pengembangan minat membaca anak yaitu membiasakan anak terhadap membaca, mengembangkan perbendaharaan kata, menambah pengetahuan, dan refleksi pengalaman; (2) Proses kegiatan yang berlangsung pada kegiatan literasi, kegiatan perpustakaan pinjam buku, kegiatan membacakan buku cerita, kegiatan learning center (LC) dan kegiatan membaca saat istirahat; (3) Metode yang digunakan yaitu bernyanyi, bercerita, tanya jawab, penugasan, scaffolding, dan mendongeng; (4) Media yang digunakan yaitu buku, poke chart, kartu gambar, kartu kata, kartu suku kata, buku besar, alphabet magnetic pinned, dan lagu yang telah diintegrasikan liriknya berdasarkan buku cerita; (5) Evaluasi dilakukan dengan rapat rutin kelas setiap minggu, laporan perkembangan anak setiap semester, catatan perpustakaan untuk kegiatan pinjam buku, dan tanya jawab untuk kegiatan membacakan buku cerita. This research aims to describe about Development Strategy of Reading Interest for Children Age 5-6 Years Old at Taman Bermain Kepompong which was carried out from February-July 2017. This research used descriptive method for children age 5-6 years old at Taman Bermain Kepompong. The procedure of data collection is done by observation, interview and documentation. The data analysis using by data reduction, data display and verification/conclution. The examination data is done by triangulation and member check. The result of this research indicated that: (1) Purpose of developing reading interest of children that is to children’s familiarize to read, vocabulary development, increase knowledge, and experience reflection; (2) The process of activities that occur on literacy activities, library book-borrowing activities, reading storybook activities, learning center activities and reading activities at rest; (3) The methods used are singing, storytelling, ask and question, assignment, and scaffolding; (4) The media used are books, poke charts, picture cards, word cards, syllable cards, bigbook, magnetic pinned alphabets, and song that have been integrated lyrics based on storybooks; (5) The evaluation is done by regular classroom meetings every week, child development reports every semester, library notes for book-borrowing activities, and ask and question for reading storybook activities.
