Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran informasi dan data empiris mengenai proses pembentukan perilaku disiplin anak usia 5-6 tahun yang diasuh oleh orangtua tunggal di Kota Bambu Selatan, Jakarta Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu Miles dan Huberman. Pemeriksaan data dilakukan dengan cara perpanjangan pengamatan, meningkatkan ketekunan, dan triangulasi. Temuan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku disiplin anak usia 5-6 tahun sudah terlihat di rumah dan di sekolah. Perilaku disiplin dan tidak disiplin anak di rumah muncul karena tidak adanya aturan yang dibuat oleh orangtua dan keterlibatan anak terhadap aturan. Perilaku disiplin anak usia 5- 6 tahun di rumah dipengaruhi oleh pola asuh orangtuanya. Perilaku disiplin anak usia 5-6 tahun juga muncul di sekolah karena adanya tata tertib/aturan di sekolah. Namun perilaku tidak disiplin anak juga terjadi karena anak tidak konsisten terhadap aturan. This research aims to get an overview of empirical information and data regarding the discipline behavior of children 5-6 years old who is raised by a single parent in Kota Bambu Selatan, West Jakarta. The research method is case study. Data collection procedures performed by observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique of analysis which used is Miles and Huberman. Data Examination is done by the extension of the observation, increase endurence, and triangulation. Research finding shows that behavioral discipline of 5-6 years old children have been seen at home and school. Disciplined and undisciplined children’s behavior at home arise from the absence of rules made by their parents and the involvement of them against the rules. Disciplined behavior of 5-6 years old children at home affected by their parents upbringing. Disciplined behavior of 5-6 years children also appear at school because of the existence of rules there. Meanwhile, the undisciplined behavior occured because of some inconsistence with the rules.
