Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kualitas komunikasi orang tua dengan kecerdasan emosional remaja. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 51 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survey. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 252 orang dengan sampel sebanyak 155. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat hubungan yang lemah antara kualitas komunikasi orang tua dengan kecerdasan emosional remaja dengan r = 0,326. Adapun kontribusi variabel kualitas komunikasi orang tua terhadap kecerdasan emosional remaja sebesar 10,66%. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kualitas komunikasi orang tua berhubungan dengan kecerdasan emosional remaja. The research aims to review relationthe quality of parent communication with adolescent emotional intelligence. The research was conducted in SMPN 51 Jakarta. Research methodology used is survey. The population in this research were 252 people with samples from 155. Based on the research done, there are weak relations between the quality of parent communication with adolescent emotional intelligence with r = 0,326. The contributiins of variable the quality of parent communication against adolescent emotional intellegence worth 10,66%. Bades on the result of the hypothesis then can be conclude that the quality of parent communication associated with adolescent emotional intellegence.
