Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Labschool Jakarta yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses strategi pengembangan kompetensi guru di SMP Labschool Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April hingga Juni 2015. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Sumber data dari penelitian ini yaitu Wakil Kepala Sekolah Bidang Akademik, Kepala Pengembang yayasan Labschool, dan beberapa informan pendukung antara lain Staf Pengembang Labschool selaku Guru Biologi, Staf Akademik selaku Guru Fisika,dan Kordinator MPE selaku Guru IPS. Strategi Pengembangan Kompetensi Guru Di SMP Labschool Jakarta dilakukan dengan tiga cara yaitu self assessment (untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan), pembinaan akademik, dan pembinaan non akademik. Strategi tersebut disusun pada awal tahun ajaran. Pelaksanaan self assessment (untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan) dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan guru selama satu tahun ajaran. Kemudian untuk pelaksanaan pembinaan akademik dan non akademik disusun pada penyelenggaraan lokakarya. Evaluasi strategi pengembangan kompetensi guru dilaksanakan melalui empat cara yaitu evaluasi diri, evaluasi siswa, evaluasi guru, dan evaluasi pimpinan. Evaluasi tersebut dilaksanakan sesuai dengan tujuan utama yaitu mengetahui hasil dari kegiatan pelaksanaan program pengembangan kompetesi guru sesuai dengan tujuan sekolah. ************ This research was conducted at SMP Labschool Jakarta that aims to identify the development strategy of teacher competence. This research was conducted in April and June 2015. The researchers used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation study. Source data from this research that Vice Principal for Academic Affairs, Head of Developer Labschool, and some informants include staff support as the Master Developer Labschool Biology, Academic Staff as Teachers of Physics, and the Coordinator of MPE as Social Teachers. Teacher Competence Development Strategy at SMP Labschool Jakarta done in three ways: self-assessment (to identify requirements), fostering academic and non-academic coaching. The strategy drawn up at the beginning of the school year. The implementation of self assessment (to identify needs) is conducted to determine the needs of the teacher during the school year. Then for the implementation of academic and non-academic guidance drawn up at a workshop. Evaluation of teachers competence development strategies implemented in four ways, namely self-evaluation, student evaluation, teacher evaluation, and the evaluation of leadership. The evaluation carried out in accordance with the primary goal yes or no of activities competence teacher development program implementation.
