Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data empiris hasil belajar IPS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial) tentang Perkembangan Teknologi Produksi, Komunikasi dan Transportasi pada siswa kelas IV SDN Pasar Manggis 01 Pagi Setiabudi Jakarta Selatan dengan subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV pada semester 2 tahun pelajaran 2014-2015. Penelitian tindakan dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan model spiral atau siklus model kemmis dan Mc. Tanggart. Penelitian tindakan kelas dengan melalui tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pemantauan atau observasi, memberikan refleksi dan evaluasi sebagai dasar untuk perencanaan ulang pada siklus berikutnya. Hasil yang diperoleh dari setiap siklus adalah sebagai berikut: siklus I nilai rata-rata siswa 61,11 sehingga dapat dinyatakan belum berhasil karena indikator keberhasilan dari penelitian ini adalah nilai rata-rata siswa harus mencapai ≥75. pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa menjadi 84,81, sehingga dapat dikatakan berhasil karena telah mencapai bahkan melampaui target yang ditentukan yaitu ≥75. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa metode Cooperative Learning tipe STAD dapat dijadikan salah satu cara dalam peningkatan hasil belajar IPS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial) pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Karena dengan Metode Cooperative Learning tipe STAD siswa menjadi aktif, kreatif, efektif dan senang dalam belajar. The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical data learning outcomes IPS (Social Sciences) on the Development of Production Technology, Communications and Transport in the fourth grade students of SDN Pasar Manggis 01 Pagi Setiabudi South Jakarta with research subjects are students of class IV in the second semester of school year 2014-2015, Action research was conducted using the spiral model or model cycle Kemmis and Mc. Tanggart. Classroom action research through the stages of planning, action, monitoring or observation, provide reflection and evaluation as a basis for re-planning the next cycle. The results obtained from each cycle are as follows: the first cycle of the average value of 61.11 so that students can be expressed not succeed because indicators of success of this research is the average value of ≥75. The student must achieve on the second cycle increased the average value students be 84.81, so it can be said to be successful because it had reached even exceeded the specified target is ≥75. The implication of this study is that Cooperative Learning STAD method may be one way in improving learning outcomes IPS (Social Studies) in class IV Elementary School. Because the method of Cooperative Learning STAD students become active, creative, effective and fun in learning
