Abstract

Peningkatan kompetensi guru SMK Pelayaran di Indonesia melalui peningkatan Pelatihan, Pengawasan dan Motivasi kerja yang melibatkan dua Kementerian yaitu Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan dan Kementerian Perhubungan Republik Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan path analisis, jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei dengan menyebarkan instrumen berupa kuesioner. Populasi penelitian ini adalah guru SMK Pelayaran se Indonesia yang memiliki sertifikat TOT Model Couse 6.09 yang berjumlah 362 guru dengan sampel sebanyak 190 guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefisien jalur dari beberapa variabel yang berkaitan dengan kompetensi guru di antaranya pelatihan, pengawasan dan motivasi kerja. Kompetensi Guru SMK Pelayaran dalam penelitian ini terbentuk oleh variabel pelatihan, pengawasan, dan motivasi kerja dengan besaran R Square sebesar 0.482 atau 48.2 %. Novelty dalam penelitian ini adalah ditemukan kompetensi guru SMK pelayaran dipengaruhi secara dominan oleh pelatihan yang diterimanya dengan besaran koefisien jalur sebesar 0.418 dengan indikator terbesar yaitu peningkatan pengetahuan, hal ini di karena kan untuk menjadi guru SMK Pelayaran membutuhkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang khusus sesuai dengan standar pelayaran yang sudah di tetapkan oleh IMO (International Maritime Organization).**************Increasing the competence of teachers of shipping vocational high schools in Indonesia through increased training, supervision, and work motivation that involves two ministries, namely the ministry of education and culture and the ministry of transportation of the Republic of Indonesia. This study uses a pathway analysis approach, a type of quantitative research with a survey method with instructions in the form of a questionnaire. The population of this research is the teachers of Maritime Vocational Schools throughout Indonesia who have a TOT Model Couse 6.09 certificate equipped with 362 teachers with a sample of 190 teachers. The results of the research path coefficient of several variables related to teacher competence include training, supervision, and work motivation. The competence of the shipping vocational school teachers in this study is formed by the variables of training, supervision, and work motivation in terms of magnitude of 0.482 or 48.2%. The novelty in this study is the competence of shipping vocational high school teachers received dominantly by training whose path coefficient is 0.418 with the largest indicator of increased knowledge; this is because to become a Voyage vocational high school teacher needs to increase knowledge specifically with school standards has been set by IMO (International Maritime Organization).
