Abstract

Gejala burnout dialami oleh seseorang karena timbulnya masalah psikologis yang berhubungan dengan beban pekerjaan. Gejala burnout umumnya dialami oleh seseorang yang memiliki beban kerja yang tinggi yang bekerja dibidang sosial contohnya guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan produk yakni self-help book yang berisikan informasi mengenai gejala burnout dan konseling Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) dengan teknik guided imagery oleh Snyder & Lindquist. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Guru BK SMA dan SMK di Jakarta Timur 1. Pemilihan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling karena sampel penelitian sudah ditentukan karakteristiknya. Didapatkan hasil tingkat gejala burnout yakni “sedang” sebanyak 81 orang atau 65 persen Guru BK merasakan gejala burnot. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Dick and Carey. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen lembar penilaian dan menghasilkan penelitian dan pengembangan sebuah produk yaitu self-help book dengan keseluruhan nilai “Sangat Baik”. Maka, media self-help book yang telah dikembangkan sebagai media informasi untuk dapat menurunkan tingkat gejala burnout termasuk layak digunakan oleh Guru BK. Symptoms of burnout are experienced by a person because of some psychological problems related to a workload. These symptoms are generally experienced by someone who has a high workload who works in a social sector, such as a Guidance and Counseling (BK) teacher. The purpose of this study is to develop a product, namely self-help book that contains information about burnout symptoms and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) counseling with guided imagery techniques by Snyder & Lindquist. The subjects in this study were Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers at SMA and SMK in East Jakarta 1. The sample selection in this study utilized a purposive sampling technique since the characteristics of the research sample had already been determined. Out of the 125 Guidance and Counseling teachers in East Jakarta 1, the results of the burnout symptom level were "moderate" as many as 81 people or 65, 29 people or 23 of the BK teachers were in the "low" category and 15 BK teachers or 12 were in the "high" category. This study used the Dick and Carey model. The data collection in this study employed an assessment sheet instrument and resulted in research and development of a product, namely self-help book with an overall value of "Very Good". This can be seen from the results of the expert validation, the results of the material expert's test were 75 or "good", the media experts were 100 "very good" and 77 "very good" from the service experts. Thus, the self-help book media that has been developed as an information medium to reduce the level of burnout symptoms can be used by the counseling teachers.
