Abstract

Plankton adalah salah satu organisme akuatik yang bergerak pasif dan tidak dapat berenang melawan arus. Plankton mempunyai peranan penting peran yang penting baik secara ekonomi (sebagai antibiotik, konsumsi dan meningkatkan komoditas perikanan) maupun ekologi (dasar rantai makanan, sumber oksigen terlarut dan indikator). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman, kelimpahan plankton serta hubungan antara keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan plankton dengan beberapa faktor lingkungan di perairan di situ Pengasinan Depok. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan data purposive sampling pada 4 stasiun pengamatan dengan kedalaman 0, 3 dan 5 meter. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui perhitungan indeks kelimpahan dan indeks keanekaragaman sedangkan secara stasitik menggunakan uji Chi-square dan uji korelasi. Hasil penelitian teridenfikasi sebanyak 29 jenis plankton yang terdiri dari 26 fitoplankton dan 3 zooplankton. Kelimpahan jenis plankton tertinggi diwakili oleh jenis Chlorococcum sp., Cyclotella sp. dan Thalassiosira punctigera sedangkan terendah pada Gloeotrichia sp. Indeks keanekaragaman termasuk kriteria kenaekaragaman sedang. Tidak terdapat hubungan antara keanekaragaman, kelimpahan Cyclotella sp. dan Thalassiosira punctigera dengan faktor lingkungan. Kelimpahan Chlorococcum sp. berkorelasi dengan faktor kedalaman dan Fosfat. Secara keseluruhan kelimpahan, kelimpahan plankton memiliki hubungan dengan faktor arus dan oksigen terlarut. Plankton is an aquatic organism that moves passively and unable swim against the current. Plankton has an important role that is important both economically (as antibiotics, consumption and increasing fishery commodities) and ecologically (base of the food chain, dissolved oxygen source and indicator). The aims of this study was to determine the diversity, abundance of plankton and the relationship between diversity and abundance of plankton with environmental factors in the waters of the Situ Pengasinan Depok. The method used is a descriptive method with purposive sampling collection techniques data at 4 observation stations with a depth of 0, 3 and 5 meters. The data were analyzed descriptively by calculating the abundance index and diversity index, while statistically using the Chi-square test and correlation test. The results of the study identified as many as 29 types of plankton consisting of 26 phytoplankton and 3 zooplankton. The highest abundance of plankton species was represented by Chlorococcum sp., Cyclotella sp. and Thalassiosira punctigera while the lowest was in Gloeotrichia sp. The diversity index includes the criteria for moderate diversity. There is no relationship between diversity, abundance of Cyclotella sp. and Thalassiosira punctigera with environmental factors. The abundance of Chlorococcum sp. correlated with depth factor and Phosphate. Overall abundance, abundance of plankton has a relationship with current and dissolved oxygen factors.
