Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII-F SMP Negeri 228 Jakarta dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan alat peraga blok aljabar pada materi pemfaktoran bentuk aljabar. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilakukan dengan menggunakan Zoom Meeting. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan selama tiga siklus dengan setiap siklus terdiri dari kegiatan: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) pengamatan, dan (4) refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan alat peraga blok aljabar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII-F SMP Negeri 228 Jakarta pada materi pemfaktoran bentuk aljabar. Hal ini berdasarkan adanya peningkatan jumlah subjek penelitian yang telah mencapai skor minimal kategori baik atau nilai minimal 70 yaitu pada siklus I terdapat 4 subjek penelitian dengan memperoleh nilai 83,33; 75,00; 91,67; 75,00, pada siklus II terdapat 4 subjek penelitian dengan memperoleh nilai 100; 83,33; 91,67; 75,00, dan pada siklus III meningkat menjadi 6 subjek penelitian dengan memperoleh nilai 100; 91,67; 100; 83,33; 75,00; 75,00. Kemudian adanya peningkatan presentase jumlah siswa yang telah mencapai skor minimal kategori baik atau nilai minimal 70 yaitu pada siklus I terdapat 27,78% dari jumlah siswa atau sebanyak 10 siswa yang telah mencapai skor minimal kategori baik, pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 66,67% dari jumlah siswa atau sebanyak 24 siswa yang telah mencapai skor minimal kategori baik, dan pada siklus III meningkat menjadi 86,11% dari jumlah siswa atau sebanyak 31 siswa yang telah mencapai skor minimal kategori baik understanding of class VIII-F students of SMP Negeri 228 Jakarta by applying the STAD cooperative learning model with the algebra block teaching aids on the material of factoring algebraic forms. The learning implementation was carried out using Zoom Meeting. This research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out for three cycles with each cycle consisting of: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The results showed that the application of the STAD cooperative learning model with the algebra block teaching aids could improve the ability of mathematical concepts understanding of class VIII-F students of SMP Negeri 228 Jakarta on the material of factoring algebraic forms. This was based on an increase in the number of research subjects who had achieved a minimum score of either category or a minimum score of 70, i.e. in the first cycle there were 4 research subjects with score of 83.33; 75.00; 91.67; 75.00, in cycle II there were 4 research subjects with a score of 100; 83.33; 91.67; 75.00, and in the third cycle increased to 6 research subjects with a score of 100; 91.67; 100; 83.33; 75.00; 75.00. Then there was an increase in the percentage of the number of students who had achieved a minimum score in the good category or a minimum score of 70, i.e. in the first cycle there were 27.78% of the number of students or as many as 10 students who had achieved the minimum score in the good category, in the second cycle it increased to 66.67% of the number of students or as many as 24 students who had achieved a minimum score of good category, and in the third cycle increased to 86.11% of the number of students or as many as 31 students who had achieved a minimum score of good category.
