Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data/fakta yang tepat (shahih, benar, valid) dan dapat dipercaya (reliabel) tentang sejauh mana hubungan antara motivasi orang tua dengan prestasi belajar pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 24 Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 4 bulan terhitung sejak bulan Maret sampai Juni 2013. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey pendekatan korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 24 Jakarta, yakni berjumlah 80 siswa dengan sampel penelitian adalah 65 siswa dengan taraf perhitungan sampling error 5 %. Teknik pengambilan sampel ini dengan menggunakan teknik sampling acak sederhana. Untuk menjaring data variabel X (Motivasi Orang Tua), digunakan instrumen berbentuk skala likert dan variabel Y (Prestasi Belajar) menggunakan data sekunder yang berdasarkan nilai rata-rata rapor. Sebelum digunakan instrument untuk variabel X dan Variabel Y digunakan uji validitas konstruk melalui proses validasi yaitu perhitungan perhitungan koefisien skor butir dengan skor total dan uji relibilitas dan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Hasil reliabilitas variabel X (Motivasi Orang Tua) sebesar 0.919. Uji persyaratan analisis yang dilakukan mencari persamaan regresi yang di dapat adalah Ŷ = 55,46+0,15X. Selanjutnya adalah uji normalitas galat taksiran regresi Y atas X dengan menggunakan uji Liliefors dan diperoleh Lhitung (Lo) 0,106 < Ltabel (Lt) 0,110. maka Lo<Lt. Hal ini berarti galat taksiran Y atas X berdistribusi normal. uji kelinieran regresi menghasilkan F Hitung (-1,09) < F Tabel (1,82) ini berarti model regresi yang dipakai linier. Uji keberartian regresi diperoleh berarti F Hitung (30,28) > F Tabel (4,00), ini membuktikan bahwa regresi berarti. Sedangkan. Uji koefisien korelasi product moment menghasilkan rxy = 0,562. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji signifikansi koefisien dengan menggunakan uji t. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah thitung (5,391), sedangkan ttabel pada dk = n – 2 = 65 – 2 = 63 dan taraf signifikansi 0.05 adalah 1.67 berarti thitung > ttabel. Perhitungan koefisien determinasi menghasilkan rxy 2 = 0,5622 = 0,3157. Ini menunjukan bahwa 31,57% variasi motivasi orang tua dengan prestasi belajar siswa Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara motivasi orang tua dengan prestasi belajar siswa pada kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 24 Di Jakarta This study aims to obtain data / facts right (authentic, true, valid) and trustworthy (reliable) about how far the relationship between motivation of parents with achievement learning on student class VIII of SMP Negeri 24 Jakarta. The study was conducted over four months from March to June 2013. The method used is survey method approach to correlation. The population in this study are students of class VIII in SMP Negeri 24 Jakarta is totaled 80 students with research samples was 65 studenst. Then, based on the determination of the sample table of Isaac and Michael amount of sample from a population with a sampling error of 5% is 30 . This sampling technique using simple random sampling technique. Test requirements analysis carried out looking at the regression equation is Y = 55,46 + 0,15X. Next is the estimated regression error normality test Y on X using the test and obtained Liliefors Lcount (Lo) 0,106 < Ltable (Lt) 0,110 . The Lo <Lt. This means that the error estimates Y over X is normally distributed. linearity regression test produces Fcount (-1,09) <F table (1.82), this means linear regression models were used. Test significance Fcount regression (30,28)> F table (4,00), this proves that the regression mean. Meanwhile. Product moment correlation coefficient test result rxy of 0,562. Then proceed with the coefficient significance test using the t test. The results obtained are thitung (5,391), while the TTable at dk = n - 2 = 65- 2 = 63 and the 0.05 level is 1.67, meaning thitung> TTable. The calculation of the coefficient of determination produce rxy2 = 0,562 = 0,3157. It shows that 31,57% variation in motivation of parents with student achievement conclusion of this study is that there is a positive relationship between motivation of parents with student achievement on class VIII at SMP Negeri 24 at Jakarta.
