Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bukti empiris pengaruh kepuasan gaji, prestasi kerja, dan komitmen organisasi terhadap turnover intentions auditor. Unit analisis dari penelitian ini adalah auditor yang bekerja di KAP. Penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Jumlah sampel yang terkumpul sebanyak 44 auditor adalah auditor senior dan junior yang bekerja pada KAP di wilayah Jakarta Pusat. Data diolah dengan menggunakan program SPSS versi 16. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial kepuasan gaji dan komitmen organisasi berpengaruh negative terhadap turnover intentions auditor, sedangkan prestasi kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap Turnover Intentions auditor. Secara simultan kepuasan kerja, prestasi kerja, dan komitmen organisasi berpengaruh terhadap turnover intentions auditor dengan Fhitung 18,440 > Ftabel yaitu 2,84 dengan nilai p value 0,000 < 0,05. Dalam penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa keinginan berpindah auditor dikarenakan oleh adanya kepuasan gaji yang rendah dan juga komitmen organisasi yang rendah. Dengan demikian¸ auditor yang memiliki prestasi kerja yang tinggi tetapi tidak dibarengi dengan kepuasan gaji yang tinggi pula sehingga komitmen organisasi yang dimiliki oleh para auditor akan rendah. auditor lebih memilih peluang atau kesempatan pekerjaan di lembaga atau institusi lain yang lebih baik dan seringnya mendapatkan tawaran kerja di tempat lain selain profesi auditor yang lebih menguntungkan dan berpikir untuk meninggalkan KAP. ***** This research aims to provide empirical evidence about the influence of Pay Satisfaction, Job Performance and Organizational Commitment on Auditor’s Turnover Intentions. The unit of analysis from this study is the auditors who work for the public accountant firm. This research used purposive sampling technique as data collection. Total sample is 41 auditors which consists of senior and junior auditors from public accountant firm in central Jakarta. The data were analyzed with SPSS version 16. The research indicated that partially, pay satisfaction and organizational commitment have a negative influence on turnover intentions. While, job performance has a positive influence on turnover intentions. Simultaneously, pay satisfaction, job performance, and organizational commitment have influence on turnover intentions, with value of Fcount 18,517 > Ftable 2,84 and p value 0,000 < 0,05. In this research, it was discovered that auditor’s turnover intentions because of the pay satisfaction and organizational commitment is low. Thus, the auditor who has high performance but it is not a accompanied by a high salary satisfaction organizational commitment anyway so possessed by the auditor will be low. Auditors prefer opportunities or employment opportunities in other agencies or institutions and often get a better job offer elsewhere than the move lucrative profession of auditorsand thought of leaving the public accounting firm.
