Abstract

This research aimsto improve the understanding adolescent development on electro learning materials air conditioner and refrigerator components in institution of adolescent social development Bambu Apus, East Jakarta . Through the research of the usage media learning in the form of booklets media adolescent development have an understanding onair conditionersand refrigerators components. This research was conducted with the approach of one-group, pretest-posttest design, in which thetreatment in this research is the usage booklet media to adolescent development in electro learning that had been made by the researcher. This study applied from February until May 2013. The subjects were adolescent development on learning electro which was totaling 20 people. Data collection instrument in this research using questionnaires, tests and documentations. Data analysis techniques used are analysis techniques with quantitative research that is statistically in order to test the hypotheses that have been set. Hypothesis test results with the formulat-test significance level of 5% of the obtained results tcount 7,774  ttable 1,684. The results of the implementation of learning to use this booklet media obtained through pre-test and post-test to adolescent development, the average values obtained from the theory test to pre-test of 66.5 of 20 questions that tested items, and an increase in post test 1 6 points (24.06%), reaching 82.5. Through this research could be concluded that the usage booklet media has been proven to increase the understanding of the learning adolescent development one lectromaterial components of air conditioners and refrigerators in Institution of Adolescent Social Development, Bambu Apus, East Jakarta. It means that the objective of this research has been "achieved”.
