Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan internet dengan kemampuan literasi digital pada mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survey dan pendekatan korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 155 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan intensitas penggunaan internet dengan kemampuan literasi digital pada mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS Universitas Negeri Jakarta, yang didasarkan pada hasil perhitungan statistik uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini, yakni diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000000712 lebih kecil atau kurang dari 0,05 maka dapat dikatakan bahwa Ha diterima atau terdapat hubungan antara kedua variabel. Adapun tingkat hubungan kedua variabel yang diinterpretasikan melalui nilai koefisien korelasi (rxy) dengan tabel interpretasi korelasi sebesar 0,386 yang berarti bahwa tingkat hubungan kedua variabel rendah. Sedangkan, angka koefisien korelasi pada kedua variabel menunjukkan bahwa hubungan intensitas penggunaan internet dengan kemampuan literasi digital positif atau searah. ********** This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of internet use and digital literacy skills in Social Studies Education students at the State University of Jakarta. The type of research conducted in this research is quantitative with survey method and correlational approach. The sample in this study was 155 people with a sampling technique using cluster random sampling. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between the intensity of internet use and digital literacy skills in Social Studies Education students at the State University of Jakarta, which is based on the results of statistical calculations of hypothesis testing in this study, which is obtained a significance value of 0.000000712 which is smaller or less than 0.05. then it can be said that Ha is accepted or there is a relationship between the two variables. The level of relationship between the two variables is interpreted through the value of the correlation coefficient (rxy) with the correlation interpretation table of 0.386 which means that the level of relationship between the two variables is low. Meanwhile, the correlation coefficient in the two variables shows that the relationship between the intensity of internet use and digital literacy ability is positive or unidirectional.
