Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui fenomena learning loss yang terjadi pada siswa 2) mendeskripsikan metode pembelajaran PPKN yang diterapkan dalam menanggulangi learning loss pada siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan April sampai Juni 2022 Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini berlokasi di SMP Negeri 59 Jakarta. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan Wakil Kepala Sekolah bidang Kurikulum, Guru Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan dan siswa, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data lain diperoleh melalui kajian literatur yang memuat konsep learning loss dan konsep metode pembelajaran bagi siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Fenomena learning loss pada siswa saat ini dapat tercermin melalui 3 hal pokok yaitu penurunan tingkat keinginan belajar (motivasi belajar), disparitas dalam mendapat pendidikan dan kemungkinan putus sekolah, 2) Metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan guru PPKN untuk dapat menanggulangi learning loss pada siswa yaitu metode ceramah, metode tanya – jawab, metode diskusi, dan metode bermain peran. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru harus menggunakan dan memvariasikan berbagai metode agar minat siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran meningkat dan pemahaman siswa terkait dengan materi menjadi maksimal. This study aims to: 1) find out the phenomenon of learning loss that occurs in students 2) describes the learning method on Pancasila and Civics Education applied in overcoming learning loss in students. The research was conducted from April to June 2022. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. This research is located in SMP Negeri 59 Jakarta. This research was conducted using data collection methods in the form of interviews conducted with Deputy Principal for Curriculum, Pancasila and Citizenship Education Teachers and students, observation, and documentation. Another source of data was obtained through a literature review containing the concept of learning loss and the concept of learning method for students. The results of this study show that: 1) The phenomenon of learning loss in students today can be achieved through 3 main things, namely a decrease in the level of desire to learn (learning motivation), disparities in education and the possibility of dropping out of school, 2) As an initial step, the school decided to implement emergency curriculum, 3) Learning methods applied by Pancasila and Civics Education teachers to be able to overcome learning losses for students are the lecture method, question - answer method, discussion method, and role playing method. The conclusion obtained in this study are teachers must use and vary the various learning methods so that students' interest in learning activity increases and students' understanding of the material becomes maximal.
