Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya hubungan ekstrakurikuler pramuka dengan karakter disiplin peserta didik. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 272 Jakarta Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022 sebanyak 245 peserta didik. Sampel dihitung menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan taraf kesalahan sebesar 5%. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 137 peserta didik. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas uji coba instrumen penelitian dilakukan kepada 30 responden. Uji coba instrumen penelitian pada variabel X diperoleh sebanyak 41 item pernyataan valid, sedangkan untuk variabel Y diperoleh hasil sebanyak 29 item pernyataan valid. Pada uji reliabilitas variabel X, diperoleh nilai Alpha Cronbach’s sebesar 0,936. Sedangkan, pada variabel Y diperoleh nilai Alpha Cronbach’s sebesar 0,872. Dengan demikian, kedua instrumen penelitian dikatakan valid dan reliabel. Uji prasyarat analisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji linearitas. Pada uji normalitas diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,94 > 0,05. Sedangkan, pada uji linearitas diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,894 > 0,05. Dengan demikian, data dikatakan berdistribusi normal dan terdapat hubungan linear antara variabel ekstrakurikuler pramuka dengan variabel karakter disiplin peserta didik. Selanjutnya, uji hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi product moment, uji regresi linear sederhana, dan koefisien determinasi. Pada uji hipotesis korelasi product moment, diperoleh hasil 0,627. Terlihat bahwa nilai rhitung > rtabel (0,627 > 0,166) dengan nilai signifikansi < nilai alpha (0,000 < 0,05). Hasil uji regresi linear sederhana diperoleh nilai Fhitung sebesar 87,385. Terlihat bahwa Fhitung > Ftabel (87,385 > 3,91) dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Persamaan regresi yang dihasilkan adalah Y = 92,886 + 0,238 X. Selanjutnya, pada koefisien determinasi diperoleh nilai sebesar 39,3%. Berdasarkan perhitungan tersebut, diketahui bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang memiliki arti bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara ekstrakurikuler pramuka dengan karakter disiplin peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Negeri 272 Jakarta. Besaran kontribusi antara ekstrakurikuler pramuka dengan karakter disiplin peserta didik adalah sebesar 39,3%. Kata * This study aims to determine whether or not there is an extracurricular relationship between scouts and the disciplinary character of students. The approach used is quantitative with a correlational method. The population is all students of class VII of SMP Negeri 272 Jakarta for the 2021/2022 Academic Year as many as 245 students. The sample was calculated using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%. The sampling technique uses the proportionate stratified random sampling technique with a total sample of 137 students. Validity and reliability tests of research instrument trials were conducted on 30 respondents. The trial of research instruments on variable X obtained as many as 41 valid statement items, while for variable Y, the results of 29 valid statements were obtained. In the reliability test of the variable X, the Alpha Cronbach's value of 0.936 was obtained. Meanwhile, in the variable Y, Cronbach's Alpha value was obtained by 0.872. Thus, both research instruments are said to be valid and reliable. The analysis prerequisite test uses a normality test and a linearity test. In the normality test, a significance value of 0.94 > 0.05 was obtained. Meanwhile, in the linearity test, a significance value of 0.894 > 0.05 was obtained. Thus, the data are said to be normally distributed and there is a linear relationship between the scout extracurricular variables and the learner's disciplinary character variables. Furthermore, hypothesis tests were carried out using product moment correlation tests, simple linear regression tests, and coefficients of determination. In the product moment correlation hypothesis test, a result of 0.627 was obtained. It can be seen that the rcount value > rtable (0.627 > 0.166) with a significance value < an alpha value (0.000 < 0.05). The results of a simple linear regression test obtained a Fcount value of 87.385. It can be seen that the Fcount > Ftable (87.385 > 3.91) with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The resulting regression equation is Y = 92.886 + 0.238 X. Furthermore, at the coefficient of determination a value of 39.3% is obtained. Based on these calculations, it is known that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which means that there is a positive relationship between scout extracurriculars and the disciplinary character of class VII students at SMP Negeri 272 Jakarta. The amount of contribution between scout extracurriculars and the disciplinary character of students was 39.3%.
