Abstract

Educational stress atau yang disebut juga stres akademik adalah sebuah ketidaknyamanan dan keresahan yang diakibatkan oleh masalah yang berbeda�beda mengenai pengalaman pembelajaran. Socio-Economic Status (SES) umumnya dapat didefinisikan dalam posisi ekonomi individu dan pencapaian pendidikan, relatif terhadap orang lain, serta pekerjaannya. Tekanan akademik di kalangan remaja merupakan faktor risiko utama bagi kesehatan mental yang buruk dan perilaku yang mencemaskan lainnya. Sementara tekanan yang dihadapi oleh siswa dalam bagian akademik yang menuntut pihak keluarga sekitar siswa untuk memberikan dukungan yang cukup untuk menunjang kebutuhan pembelajaran atau penyediaan fasilitas di rumah. Penelitian ini ingin mengkaji mengenai family socio-economic status dan hubungannya dengan educational stress pada siswa SMA pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Pekerjaan orang tua, pendapatan keluarga, jabatan sosial, Pendidikan serta kepemilikan keluarga yang menjadi lima dimensi dari SES. Metode yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportional stratified random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah SES yang dimodifikasi dan ESSA. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 401 siswa SMA di Sukatani, Purwakarta pada masa pandemi dengan syarat pernah atau masih melakukan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kedua variabel. Pengujian analisis lainnya juga tidak memiliki hubungan. Pengujian tersebut menunjukkan kesimpulan bahwa apa pun kedudukan SES sebuah keluarga tidak berhubungan dengan stres akademik yang dirasakan oleh anak. Educational stress or also called academic stress is an discomfort and anxiety caused by different problems regarding the learning experience. Socio-Economic Status (SES) can generally be defined in the economic position of the individual and educational attainment, relative to others, as well as his work. Academic pressure among adolescents is a major risk factor for poor mental health and other worrying behaviors. Meanwhile, the pressure faced by students in the academic department requires the families around the students to provide sufficient support to support learning needs or the provision of facilities at home. This study wants to examine family socio-economic status and its relationship with educational stress in high school students during the Covid-19 pandemic. Parents' work, sources of family income, social positions, education and family ownership are the five dimensions of the SES. The method carried out in this study is a quantitative method with an associative approach by sampling using proportional stratified random sampling. The instruments used in this study were modified SES and ESSA. This research was conducted on 401 high school students in Sukatani, Purwakarta during the pandemic with the condition that they had or were still doing distance learning. The results of this study showed that there was no significant relationship between the two variables. Other analytical tests also have neither relationship. The test showed the conclusion that whatever the position of SES a family is not related to the academic stress felt by the child.
