Abstract

Tujuan penlitian ini adalah untuk menganalisi unsur-unsur visual tokoh yang terdapat pada komik Kartini karya Tati Nuari, dan mendeskripsikan setiap unsur yang terkait pada visualisasi tokoh komik. Mengupas lebih dalam mengenai visualisasi tokoh pada komik Kartini, sehingga pesan dari tokoh tersebut dapat ditemukan dan terbaca dengan jelas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, objek penelitiannya adalah tokoh dalam komik Kartini karya Tati Nuari. penelitian ini difokuskan pada 3 tokoh yang muncul dalam komk tersebut dan ditelusuri aspek visualnya terkait dengan unsur-unsur komik dan penokohan, gaya visualsisasi tokoh komik, serta keterkaitan tokoh dengan RA Kartini. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur visual yang saling berkaitan antara tokoh, unsur penokohan, gaya tokoh komik, gestur, dan figur RA Kartini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ilustrasi tokoh komik mengandung unsurunsur yang terkandung pada penokohan yaitu perwatakan, kategori peran, dann cerita. Selain ilustrasi tokoh komik mengandung unsur yang terdapat dalam karakteristik tokoh komik yaitu, gaya visual, ciri fisik, dan bentuk komposisi tokoh. Sehingga keseluruhan unsur-unsur visual tokoh tersebut saling terkait dan membentuk pesan utama cerita komik yang dapat memicu rasa ingin tahu khalayak untuk membacanya. ******* The purpose of this research is to analyze the visual elements of the characters contained in the Kartini comics by Tati Nuari, and describe each element related to the visualization of comic characters. Explore more about the visualization of the characters in Kartini comics, so that the messages of these characters can be found and read clearly. This research was a qualitative descriptive study, the object of the research was a character in the Kartini comic by Tati Nuari. This research is focused on 3 characters that appear in the comic and its visual aspects are traced to the elements of comics and characterizations, the visualization style of comic characters, and the relationship between characters and RA Kartini. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively qualitatively by describing the interrelated visual elements between characters, characterizations, comic character styles, gestures, and RA Kartini figures. The results showed that the illustrations of comic characters contain elements contained in characterizations namely characterization, role categories, and stories. Besides illustration, comic characters contain elements contained in the characteristics of comic characters, namely, visual style, physical characteristics, and the form of character composition. So that the overall visual elements of the characters are interrelated and form the main message of the comic story that can trigger the curiosity of the audience to read it.
