Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan data empiris mengenai hubungan antara lingkungan keluarga dengan kesantunan berbahasa peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 24 Jakarta yang berjumlah 239 peserta didik. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan rumus slovin (5%)sehingga didapatkan sampel berjumlah 150 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket melalui google formulir data diolah menggunakan bantuan IBM SPSS 25. Uji prasyarat analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji linearitas. Uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis korelasi Product Moment Pearson. Melalui uji normalitas dengan teknik Kolmogorov Smirnov diperoleh nilai 0,200 > 0,05 dan uji linearitas diperoleh nilai 0,161 > 0,05. Mengacu pada hasil uji prasyarat analisis tersebut, maka dapat dinyatakan data berdistribusi secara normal dan linear. Pengujian hipoteses dengan teknik analisis korelasi Product Moment Pearson menunjukkan nilai rhitung > rtabel (0,444 > 0,160) dengan nilai signifikansi < alpha (0,000 < 0,05) dan nilai r = 1 bernilai positif (tidak terdapat tanda negatif), maka dinyatakan bahwa Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dilakukan uji koefisien determinasi untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi variabel Lingkungan Keluarga (X) kepada variabel Kesantunan Berbahasa (Y) dan diperoleh nilai koefisien determinasi (Rsquare) sebesar 0,197 atau 19,7%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara lingkungan keluarga dengan kesantunan berbahasa peserta didik dengan besar kontribusi variabel Lingkungan Keluarga (X) kepada variabel Kesantunan Berbahasa (Y) ialah sebesar 19,7%. This research aims to gain empirical data about the connection between the family environment and with language politeness of learners. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlation design. The population in this paper is the 8-grade student of SMPN 24 Jakarta which amounts to 239 junior students. Sampling in this paper uses random sampling with solving equation (5%) so that the sample is obtained which totals 150 students. The data collection technique used a questionnaire via google form and the data was processed using the IBM SPSS 25. The analysis of precondition test using normality and linearity test. Moreover, the hypothesis test using the correlation analysis technique of Product Moment Pearson and through normality test with Kolmogorov Smirnov technique was obtained with the value 0,200 > 0,05 and linearity test with the value 0,161 > 0,05. This result took a reference on precondition test analysis outcome. Briefly, the data could be stated that the distribution is normal and linear. The hypothesis test with Product Moment Pearson correlation analysis show value of requation > rtable (0,444 > 0,160) with significant value < alpha (0,000 < 0,05) and r value is 1 with positive sign (no negative sign). It could be explained that the value of Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination test was done to find out how big the contribution of the Family Environment variable (X) towards the Language Politeness variable (Y) and then the result was gained with coefficient determination (R-square) with the value of 0,197 or 19,7%. From this evidence of research, it is crystal clear that there was a significant positive relationship between the family environment with language politeness of learners with a great contribution of Family Environment variable (X) to Language Politeness variable (Y) with amounts of 19,7%.
