Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi secara empiris mengenai strategi Guru PPKn dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis berpikir kritis siswa di SMP NEGERI 8 BEKASI. Pada materi Permasalahan Keberagaman Masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini dimulai pada bulan Maret hingga Juni 2022. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX-A SMP NEGERI 8 BEKASI tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 yang berjumlah 37 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan kepada informan yaitu Siswa kelas IX- A SMP NEGERI 8 BEKASI dan Key Informan yaitu Guru PPKn SMP NEGERI 8 BEKASI. Kelengkapan data didukung oleh pendapat ahli. Hasil temuan penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat tiga startegi yang dilakukan Guru PPKn dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis berpikir kritis siswa. Pertama, pemberian stimulus berpikir kritis siswa yaitu Guru memberikan studi kasus yang untuk dibahas bersama. Kedua, komunikasi efektif dengan siswa yaitu Guru melakukan diskusi dalam pembelajaran. Ketiga, apresiasi kepada siswa sebagai bagian dari strategi. Sedangkan, cara Guru PPKn dalam melaksanakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis berpikir kritis siswa. Terdapat tiga cara yang dilakukan, terdiri dari menerapkan strategi secara terstruktur dimulai dari menentukan permasalahan, menilai informasi yang relavan, penyelesaian masalah dan evaluasi. Kemudian melakukan strategi dengan rutin, hal ini memiliki dampak yang baik bagi siswa untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar, mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa, mengembangkan ketrampilan berpikir objektif serta menjadikan pembiasaan bagi siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dari tiga startegi yang dilakukan Guru PPKn dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis berpikir kritis siswa terdiri dari pemberian stimulus berpikir kritis kepada siswa, komunikasi yang efektif dengan siswa, dan apresiasi kepada siswa. jika merujuk indikator berpikir kritis Robert H Ennis fokus utama Guru terdapat pada: memberikan penjelasan sederhana, membangun keterampilan dasar, dan mengatur strategi dan taktik. * The research aims to get empirical information about the Strategy of PPKn Teachers in Improving Students' Critical Thinking Ability at SMP NEGERI 8 BEKASI. On the issue of the Diversity of Indonesian Society. This research was started from March to June 2022. The research method used is qualitative with an descriptive. The subjects in The research were students of class IX-A SMP NEGERI 8 BEKASI for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 37 people. The data procedure was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation conducted to informants, namely students of class IX-A SMP NEGERI 8 BEKASI and Key Informants namely PPKn teachers at SMP NEGERI 8 BEKASI. The completeness of the data is supported by expert opinion. The results of this study show three forms of strategies used by teachers in applying students' critical thinking. First, providing a stimulus for students' critical thinking, which is the teacher providing case studies to be discussed together. Second, effective communication with students, which is the teacher conducts discussions in learning. Third, appreciation to students as part of the strategy. As for the PPKn teacher's way of implementing learning strategies is based on students' critical thinking. There are three ways that are carried by PPKn teachers in carrying out student critical thinking-based learning Consists of implementing a structured strategy starting from determining problems, looking for relavant information, problem solving and evaluating. Then the strategy regularly has a good impact on students to increase learning independence, encourage active student participation, develop objective thinking skills and make students habitual. The conclusion of this research is from the three strategies used by Civics Teachers in implementing students' critical thinking-based learning, they consist of providing critical thinking stimuli to students, effective communication with students, and appreciation to students. when referring to the critical thinking indicators of Robert H. Ennis, the teacher's main focus is on: provide simple explanations, build basic skills, and set strategy and tactics.
