Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya variasi pada media pembelajaran dalam proses pembelajaran IPS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial) di SMP Negeri 88 Jakarta, sehingga peserta didik tersebut masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami beberapa materi yang telah diajarkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media video animasi pembelajaran IPS terhadap hasil belajar. Metode yang digunakan metode kuantitatif dalam pendekatan True Experimental dengan desain Posttest Only Control Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan simple random sampling dengan sampel kelas VIII A dan VIII B. Kedua sampel diberi post test setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa pembelajaran menggunakan video animasi pada kelas VIII A dan media power point pada kelas VIII B. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media video animasi pembelajaran IPS terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Mann Whitney yang menghasilkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,05). ***** This research is motivated by the lack of variation in learning media in the Social Sciences (Social Sciences) learning process at SMP Negeri 88 Jakarta, so that these students still have difficulty understanding some of the material that has been taught. The results of this research aim to determine the effect of using social media animation video media on learning outcomes. The method used is a quantitative method in a True Experimental approach with a Posttest Only Control Design. The sampling technique in this research used simple random sampling with samples of class VIII A and VIII B. Both samples were given a post test after being given treatment in the form of learning using animated videos in class VIII A and power point media in class VIII B. The results showed that there were the effect of the use of animated social studies learning video media on student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the results of hypothesis testing using the Mann Whitney test which produces a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (p < 0.05).
