Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan etika bermedia sosial mahasiswa pengguna aplikasi Tiktok pada mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket (kuesioner) tertutup dan wawancara terbuka. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 182 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan kriteria responden adalah mahasiswa aktif program studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, FIS, UNJ angkatan 2018-2021 dan aktif menggunakan aplikasi Tiktok minimal 1 tahun. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu etika bermedia sosial mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta masuk dalam kategori baik, dengan persentase sebesar 76%. Sebagian besar mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan IPS Universitas Negeri Jakarta menerapkan aturan-aturan dalam bermedia sosial khususnya dalam menggunakan aplikasi Tiktok. Mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan IPS UNJ menggunakan aplikasi Tiktok sesuai tujuan media sosial diperoleh persentase 68% masuk kategori cukup. Mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan IPS UNJ menggunakan Tiktok sesuai fungsi media sosial diperoleh persentase 63% masuk kategori cukup. Mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan IPS UNJ berhati-hati dalam berkomentar dan menyampaikan informasi diperoleh persentase 89% masuk kategori baik. Mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan IPS UNJ menghormati privasi orang lain diperoleh persentase 77% masuk kategori baik. Mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan IPS UNJ mampu mengontrol diri diperoleh prsesentase 89% masuk kategori baik. Mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan IPS UNJ menghormati perbedaan pendapat dan menggunakan bahasa yang baik diperoleh persentase 71% masuk kategori cukup. This study aims to describe the ethics of social media students using the Tiktok application on students of the Social Science Education Program, Jakarta State University. This study uses descriptive methods, with data collection techniques through questionnaires (questionnaires) closed and open interviews. The sample in this study amounted to 182 respondents. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling, with the criteria for respondents being active students of the Social Science Education Program, FIS, UNJ class of 2018-2021 and actively using the Tiktok application for at least 1 year. The results of this study are the ethics of social media students of Social Science Education Program, State University of Jakarta in the category of good, with a percentage of 76%. Most of the students of the social studies program of the State University of Jakarta apply the rules in social media, especially in using the Tiktok application. UNJ IPS Education Study Program students using the Tiktok application according to the purpose of social media obtained a percentage of 68% in the sufficient category. UNJ IPS Education Study Program students using Tiktok according to social media functions obtained a percentage of 63% in the sufficient category. UNJ IPS Education Study Program students are careful in commenting and conveying information obtained by the percentage of 89% in the good category. UNJ IPS Education Study Program students respect the privacy of others obtained a percentage of 77% in the good category. UNJ IPS Education Study Program students were able to control themselves obtained 89% percentage in the good category. Students of IPS UNJ Education Study Program respect differences of opinion and use good language obtained a percentage of 71% into the sufficient category.
