Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan membuktikan nilai kekasaran permukaan yang paling baik dengan penggunaan variasi feeding cutter end mill carbide pada mesin milling CNC.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kemudian melakukan pengolahan data kekasaran permukaan hasil milling pada proses finishing yang menggunakan variasi feeding 0.05 mm/put, 0.10 mm/put, dan 0.15 mm/put dengan kecepatan potong 150 m/min ,putaran mesin 3.980 Rpm, kedalaman pemakanan 0.2 mm.Material yang digunakan baja S45C. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mesin milling CNC, end mill carbide 12 mm 4 flute , kamera cannon dan surface tester. Hasil tingkat kekasaran permukaan hasil milling dengan bahan baja S45C pada proses Surface finish dengan variasi feeding 0.05 mm/put, 0.10 mm/put,dan 0.15 mm/put,putaran mesin 3.980 Rpm dan kedalaman potong 0.2 mm adalah berkisar N6 dan N7, yang artinya nilai kekasaran yang dicapai paling halus menurut standar kekasaran adalah pada feeding 0.05 mm/put dengan nilai kekasaran yaitu N6 sebesar 0.796 µm. ***** Muhamad Rohsa , Analysis of the effect of feeding cutter end mill carbide on the surface roughness of S45C steel, Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Jakarta State University, July 2022 This study aims to test and prove the best surface roughness value by using a variety of carbide end mill feeding cutters on a CNC milling machine. This study uses an experimental method and then performs processing of surface roughness data from milling in the finishing process using variations in feeding 0.05 mm/put, 0.10 mm/put, and 0.15 mm/put with a cutting speed of 150 m/min, engine speed of 3,980 Rpm, depth of cut 0.2 mm. The material used is S45C steel. The tools used in this research are CNC milling machine, 12 mm carbide end mill, cannon camera and surface tester. Result the level of surface roughness achieved by milling with S45C steel material in the Surface finish process with variations in feeding 0.05 mm/put, 0.10 mm/put, and 0.15 mm/put, engine speed of 3.980 Rpm and depth of cut 0.2 mm ranged from N6 and N7, which means that the roughest value achieved according to the roughness standard is feeding at 0.05 mm/put with a roughness value of N6 of 0.796 m.
