Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan latar belakang anggota bergabung ke dalam komunitas BTS ARMY INDONESIA AMINO (BAIA). Penelitian ini menjelaskan bagaimana ketertarikan penggemar terhadap BTS membentuk hibriditas budaya dan bagaimana dampak hibriditas budaya yang dirasakan anggota komunitas BTS ARMY INDONESIA AMINO (BAIA). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil wawancara mendalam, observasi melalui aplikasi Amino dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 8 informan yang terdiri dari informan kunci yaitu 5 anggota komunitas BAIA yang aktif, 2 orang Co-Leader dan Kurator atau admin Komunitas BAIA serta 1 Founder Komunitas untuk triangulasi data. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara online karena, Komunitas BAIA sampai saat ini belum memiliki kantor sendiri dan hanya berbasis aplikasi Amino. Penelitian ini dimulai sejak November 2021 sampai Mei 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan hibriditas budaya penggemar terbentuk melalui interaksi yang terjalin di dalam aplikasi Amino dan program-program yang diikuti oleh anggota. Interaksi yang dilakukan secara terus-menerus dengan sesama penggemar membentuk konstruksi identitas penggemar hingga hibriditas budaya. Bentuk Hibriditas budaya penggemar dapat terlihat dari penggunaan bahasa campuran dalam interaksi antar penggemar, teks budaya populer yang dihasilkan berupa fanfiction dan fanart , hingga peniruan K-Fashion oleh anggota Komunitas BAIA. Bentuk hibriditas budaya juga mengindikasi adanya bentuk penjajahan baru di era modern. ***** This research aims to describe the background of members joining the BTS ARMY INDONESIA AMINO (BAIA) community. This research explains how fans' interest in BTS shapes cultural hybridity and how the impact of cultural hybridity on members of the BTS ARMY INDONESIA AMINO (BAIA) community feels. A qualitative approach with the case study method was used in this research. Data gathered through in-depth interviews, Amino application observations, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of eight key informants, namely five active members of the BAIA community, two Co-Leaders and Curators or Admins of the BAIA Community, and a Community Founder for data triangulation. This research was conducted online because, until now, the BAIA Community doesn’t yet have its own office and is limited to using the Amino application. This research started from November 2021 to May 2022. The results of the research show that the formation of fan culture hybridity is formed through interactions that occur in the Amino application and the programs that are participated in by members. Interactions that are carried out continuously with fellow fans shape the character of fan identity into cultural hybridity. The hybrid form of fan culture can be seen from the use of mixed language in the interaction between fans, popular culture texts produced such as fanfiction and fanart, and the imitation of K-Fashion by members of the BAIA Community. The portrayal of cultural hybridity by fans of Korean popular culture in other countries illustrates a new form of colonialism in modern times.
