Abstract

***** This study aims to develop a PBL model of mobile learning learning products with a STEM approach that is feasible and effective for use in thermodynamic material in XI MIPA. The development procedure uses the Dick and Carey model developed by Walter Dick, Lou Carey and James O. Carey and the Alessi and Trollip model developed by Stephen M. Alessi and Stanley R. Trollip. he model consists of nine stages of development, namely identification of instructional objectives, conducting instructional analysis, The model consists of nine stages of development, namely identity instructional goals, conduct instructional analysis, analyze learners and contexts, write performance objectives, develop assessment instrument, develop instructional strategy, develop and select instructional materials, design and conduct formative evaluation of instruction, instructional revisions, design and conduct summative evaluation. The Alessi and Trollip models are combined at the stage of develop and select instructional materials namely develop initial content ideas, create flowcharts, storyboards, and script, prepare the text, write program code, create the graphics, produce audio and video, assemble the pieces, prepare support material. The results of the feasibility test showed that the application of mobile learning PBL with a STEM approach to the thermodynamic material developed was in the very feasible category with an average score of 92.56%. The effectiveness test was carried out by giving pre-test and post-test to class XI students with analysis using the N-Gain formula. The results of the effectiveness test are based on the N-gain value of 76% in the first law of thermodynamics sub-material and 79% in the second thermodynamics, while the N-gain value is 63% in the zero-law thermodynamics sub-material and 69% in the thermodynamic processes sub-material. The results of this study indicate that the development of the PBL model mobile learning application with the STEM approach is effective in the sub-materials of the first and second laws of thermodynamics and is quite effective in the sub-materials of the zero law of thermodynamics and thermodynamic processes.
