Abstract

***** Positive cases due to COVID-19 in the Cengkareng District until the end of 2021 totaled 28,737 people and caused 559 deaths. The study was conducted to determine the level of vulnerability to non-natural disasters of COVID-19 in Cengkareng District, West Jakarta City. The quantitative descriptive method used in this study is to describe the results of the calculation of each vulnerability parameter. The population and samples used a sampling area in 6 villages, namely Kapuk Village, West Cengkareng Village, East Cengkareng Village, Kedaung Kali Angke Village, Duri Kosambi Village, and Rawa Buaya Village. Processing of research data using scoring and weighting of each vulnerability parameter. The parameters used are physical vulnerability, social vulnerability, economic vulnerability, and environmental vulnerability. A physical vulnerability was measured using data on settlement density and distribution of vital locations. The social vulnerability was measured using population density data, age group ratios, comorbidities, and vaccinations. Economic vulnerability is measured using data on the number of poor people and types of work. Environmental vulnerability is measured using air temperature parameters. The results showed that Cengkareng District had a moderate level of vulnerability to the COVID19 disaster with the highest regional vulnerability being in Kapuk Village, the medium category vulnerability in Duri Kosambi Village, East Cengkareng Village, West Cengkareng Village, and Rawa Buaya Village. Areas of low vulnerability are in the Kedaung Kali Angke Village. Kapuk Village is an area with a high vulnerability category which is influenced by a high population compared to other areas in Cengkareng District. The level of vulnerability to non-natural disasters COVID-19 with a high category in an area has the potential to cause a population to be exposed to higher levels than in other regions.
