Abstract

*ABSTRAK* Perkembangan informasi, komunikasi, dan teknologi abad ke-21 semakin mendorong siswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Siswa perlu dilatih dalam keterampilan berpikir kritis agar dapat menganalisis dan memecahkan suatu permasalahan. Penggunaan media pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran yang tepat diperlukan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penggunaan media audio berbasis podcast dengan model problem based learning memungkinkan adanya proses kolaborasi dan berbagi ide atau informasi yang dapat mengarahkan pemikiran kritis siswa dalam pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media audio berbasis podcast dengan model problem based learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 79 Jakarta pada bulan April – Mei 2022. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian menggunakan pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA berjumlah 61 siswa dengan kelas eksperimen (penggunaan media audio berbasis podcast) berjumlah 31 siswa dan kelas kontrol (penggunaan media powerpoint) berjumlah 30 siswa yang dipilih secara simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dan observasi dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Uji prasyarat menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t-independent menunjukkan hasil sebesar 0,001 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media audio berbasis podcast dengan model problem based learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Penggunaan media audio berbasis podcast dengan model problem based learning dapat direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Students need to be trained in critical thinking skills in order to analyze and solve a problem. The use of learning media with the right learning model is needed to develop students' critical thinking skills. The use of podcast-based audio media with a problem-based learning model allows for a collaborative process and sharing ideas or information that can direct students' critical thinking in problem solving. This study aims to determine the effect of using podcast-based audio media with a problem-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills on environmental change material. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 79 Jakarta in April – May 2022. The type of this research is quantitative research with quasi experimental method and research design using pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The sample in this study was 61 students in class X MIPA with 31 students in the experimental class (using podcast-based audio media) and 30 students in the control class (using powerpoint media). The data collection technique used a test instrument for students' critical thinking skills and observations of the implementation of learning. The prerequisite test shows that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing using an independent t-test showed a result of 0.001 so it can be concluded that there is an effect of using podcast-based audio media with a problem-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills on environmental change material. The use of podcast-based audio media with a problem-based learning model can be recommended to improve students' critical thinking skills.
