Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai dinamika kepercayaan diri pada pemuda yang berjanggut mengikuti sunnah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah dua orang mahasiswa berusia 20 tahun dan 22 tahun dengan memiliki janggut karena mengikuti sunnah. Data diambil menggunakan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dinamika kepercayaan diri pada pemuda yang berjanggut mengikuti sunnah terdiri dari keyakinan pada diri sendiri dengan janggut, sikap bertanggung jawab terhadap keputusan berjanggut mengikuti sunnah, berpandangan baik terhadap orang lain yang merespons buruk, bersikap objektif terhadap pendapat yang berbeda, bersabar ketika mendapatkan respons yang buruk, dan sikap rasional mengenai pandangan terhadap orang berjanggut. Penelitian ini juga menemukan adanya variasi tema dalam sikap individu, untuk MHH memiliki tema menyesuaikan diri terhadap respons-respons yang didapat dan AMS memiliki tema teguh dengan pendirian dan pemahaman tentang sunnah berjanggut dan tidak merasa rendah diri meski mendapatkan celaan. This study aims to provide an overview of the dynamics of self-confidence in young men with beards following the sunnah. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects in this study were two students aged 20 years and 22 years with beards because they followed the sunnah. Data were taken using interviews. The results of this study indicate that the dynamics of self-confidence in bearded youths follow the sunnah consisting of belief in oneself with a beard, a responsible attitude towards the decision to have a beard follow the sunnah, have a good view of others who respond badly, be objective about different opinions, be patient when get a bad response, and a rational attitude about the view of people with beards. Each subject also has several different themes, for MHH has a theme of adapting to the responses obtained and AMS has a theme of firmly adhered to the stance and understanding of the sunnah of beards and does not feel inferior even though he gets reproach.
