Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan teknologi imformasi untuk menghasilkan atau mengorganisasikan informasi ke dalam bentuk yang berguna, misalnya laporan, table, grafik dan sebagainya. Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi sangat berdampak untuk semua pihak terutama dalam dunia pendidikan dan instansi pemerintah. Salah satu pemanfataan teknologi informasi adalah melalui sistem Microsoft Excel Macro VBA. Dengan adanya Microsoft Excel Macro VBA akan memudahkan Suku Dinas Pendidikan dalam mengelola surat masuk dan surat keluar, karena data terintegrasi dengan teknologi komputer sehingga penyimpanan data menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien dari segi waktu, tenaga, dan akomodasi yang dikeluarkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) yang dirumuskan oleh Borg & Gall dengan riset mendasar adapun langkah langkah pelaksanaan strategi penelitian, di antaranya yaitu: 1) penelitian pendahuluan; 2) perencanaan; 3) pengembangan produk; 4) uji coba lapangan tahap awal; 5) revisi produk uji coba lapangan tahap awal; 6) uji coba lapangan tahap akhir; 7) revisi produk uji coba lapangan tahap akhir; 8) uji coba operasi lapangan; 9) revisi produk tahap akhir; 10) implementasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebuah pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam pengelolaan surat yang dapat digunakan sebagai media untuk menyimpan data dan informasi persuratan di Suku Dinas Pendidikan Wilayah I Kota Jakarta Selatan. ***** This study aims to utilize information technology to generate or organize information into useful forms, such as reports, tables, graphs and so on. Utilization of Information Technology is very impactful for all parties, especially in the world of education and government agencies. One of the uses of information technology is through the Microsoft Excel Macro VBA system. The existence of Microsoft Excel Macro VBA will make it easier for the Education Office to manage incoming and outgoing letters, because data is integrated with computer technology so that data storage becomes more effective and efficient in terms of time, effort, and accommodation spent. The research method used is research and development (research and development) formulated by Borg & Gall with basic research as for the steps for implementing the research strategy, including: 1) preliminary research; 2) planning; 3) product development; 4) early stage field trials; 5) revision of the initial field trial product; 6) the final stage of field trials; 7) revision of the final stage field trial product; 8) field operation trial; 9) final product revision; 10) implementation. The result of this research is the utilization of information technology in mail management that can be used as a medium to store data and correspondence information in the Education Sub-Department of Region I, South Jakarta City.
