Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent to which digital literacy is incorporated into digital learning materials for junior high school students and describe what digital literacy strategies are incorporated into My English Step website. To obtain the data, a deductive content analysis is used to analyze 115 digital learning materials from grade 7, grade 8, and grade 9. Indicators of digital literacy incorporation are divided into six components: functional skills, creativity, information processing, communication and collaboration, problem solving, and e-safety. The findings of this study indicate the incorporation of digital literacy in the digital learning materials in My English Step website with the overall percentages are 12.9% for grade 7, 12.6% for grade 8, and 13.1% for grade 9. The study finds that the digital learning materials analyzed incorporate all components except e-safety in grade 7 and problem solving in grade 8 and grade 9. Besides, there are two digital literacy strategies that are incorporated into My English Step website which are through content and assignment components. The miscellany is found absent because there are only two main components in My English Step website. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana literasi digital dimasukkan ke dalam materi pembelajaran digital untuk siswa SMP dan mendeskripsikan apa saja strategi literasi digital yang dimasukkan ke dalam situs web My English Step. Untuk memperoleh data tersebut, analisis isi deduktif digunakan untuk menganalisis 115 materi pembelajaran digital dari kelas 7, kelas 8, dan kelas 9. Indikator penggabungan literasi digital dibagi menjadi enam komponen: functional skills, creativity, information processing, communication and collaboration, problem solving, and e-safety. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan inkorporasi literasi digital dalam materi pembelajaran digital di situs web My English Step dengan persentase keseluruhan adalah 12,9% untuk kelas 7, 12,6% untuk kelas 8, dan 13,1% untuk kelas 9. Studi menunjukkan bahwa materi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang dianalisis menggabungkan semua komponen kecuali e-safety di kelas 7 dan problem solving di kelas 8 dan kelas 9. Selain itu, ada dua strategi literasi digital yang dimasukkan ke dalam situs web My English Step yaitu melalui komponen konten dan penugasan. Bagian serba-serbi tidak ditemukan karena hanya ada dua komponen utama dalam situs web My English Step.
