Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh dari malicious envy terhadap cyberbullying. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif menggunakan populasi siswa sekolah menengah atas di DKI Jakarta. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 225 responden yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria pelaku cyberbullying dalam satu tahun terakhir. Penelitian ini menggunakan Cyber-Aggressor Scale dari Buelga, dkk. (2020) untuk mengukur cyberbullying dan Benign and Malicious Envy Scale dari Lange dan Crusius (2015) untuk mengukur malicious envy. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan, hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari malicious envy terhadap cyberbullying pada siswa SMA pelaku cyberbullying di DKI Jakarta. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh malicious envy terhadap cyberbullying terbukti positif yang berarti apabila nilai malicious envy mengalami kenaikan, maka nilai cyberbullying juga mengalami kenaikan dan begitu pula sebaliknya. Hasil pengujian koefisien determinan (R-square) juga menunjukkan bahwa malicious envy memiliki pengaruh sebesar 15,2% terhadap cyberbullying pada siswa SMA pelaku cyberbullying di DKI Jakarta. ***** This study was conducted to determine whether there is an effect of malicious envy on cyberbullying. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using a population of high school students in DKI Jakarta. The sample used in this study consisted of 225 respondents obtained through a purposive sampling technique with criteria for cyberbullying in the past year. This study used the Cyber-Aggressor Scale from Buelga et al. (2020) to measure cyberbullying and the Benign and Malicious Envy Scale from Lange and Crusius (2015) to measure malicious envy. From the research that has been done, the results show that there is a significant influence of malicious envy on cyberbullying in high school students who are cyberbullying perpetrators in DKI Jakarta. The results also show that the effect of malicious envy on cyberbullying is positive, which means that if the value of malicious envy increases, then the value of cyberbullying also increases and vice versa. The results of the determinant coefficient test (R-square) also show that malicious envy has an effect of 15.2% on cyberbullying in high school students who are cyberbullying perpetrators in DKI Jakarta.
