Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-compassion dan abusive experience terhadap attitude toward seeking mental health services pada mahasiswa universitas negeri Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi berganda. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan memperoleh responden sebanyak 259 dengan kriteria ditentukan mahasiswa/I Universitas Negeri Jakarta, dan laki-laki atau perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga alat ukur untuk menghitung pengaruh yang terjadi yaitu, Inventory of Attitudes Towards Seeking Mental Health Services (IASMHS) oleh Mackenzie dkk. (2004), Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) oleh Kristin D. Neff (2003), serta Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) oleh Felliti dkk., (1998). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai Sig. 0,010 yang artinya self-compassion dan abusive experience memiliki pengaruh signifikan secara simultan terhadap attitude towards seeking mental health services pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Nilai koefisien determinasi terjadi sebesar 0,035 yang dapat diartikan bahwa self-compassion dan abusive experience memberikan pengaruh terhadap attitude towards seeking mental health services 3,5%. This study was conducted to determine the effect of self-compassion and abusive experience on attitudes toward seeking mental health services at Jakarta State University students. The method used is quantitative research with multiple regression analysis. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling by obtaining 259 respondents with the criteria determined by students/I, Jakarta State University, and male or female. This study uses three measuring tools to calculate the effect that occurs, namely, the Inventory of Attitudes Towards Seeking Mental Health Services (IASMHS) by Mackenzie et al. (2004), Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) by Kristin D. Neff (2003), and Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) by Felliti et al., (1998). The results of this study indicate the value of Sig. 0.010 which means that self-compassion and abusive experience have a simultaneous significant effect on the attitude towards seeking mental health services for students at the State University of Jakarta. The coefficient of determination value is 0.035, which means that self-compassion and abusive experience have an influence on the attitude towards seeking mental health services of 3.5%.
