Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Big Five Personality terhadap fear of missing out pada wanita usia emerging adulthood pengguna media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif serta dianalisis dengan regresi berganda, yang melibatkan 248 responden wanita usia 18-29 tahun pengguna media sosial dengan teknik convenience sampling. Pengambilan data untuk penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner secara daring dengan alat ukur berupa Big Five Inventory (BFI) dan Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOS). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa trait kepribadian Big Five Personality, yaitu trait kepribadian extraversion, agreeableness, dan neuroticsm memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap fear of missing out pada wanita usia emerging adulthood pengguna media sosial dengan nilai signifikansi berada di rentang 0,000-0,001 < 0,05. Sedangkan, untuk trait kepribadian openness dan conscientiousness tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap variabel fear of missing out pada wanita usia emerging adulthood pengguna media sosial dengan nilai signifikansi berada di rentang 0,181-0,785 > 0,05. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of the Big Five Personality on the fear of missing out among women in emerging adulthood who used social media. This study used a quantitative approach and was analyzed by multiple regression, involving 248 female respondents with convenience sampling technique, aged 18-29 years who used social media. Data on this research was gathered using online questionnaires, consisting of the Big Five Inventory (BFI) and Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOS). The results showed that the traits of the Big Five Personalities, namely extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism had a significant influence on the fear of missing out among women in emerging adulthood who used social media with significance value in the range of 0.000-0.001 < 0,05. Meanwhile, openness and conscientiousness does not have a significant effect on the variable fear of missing out among women in emerging adulthood who used social media with significance value in the range of 0.181-0.785 > 0,05.
