Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see the incorporation of 4Cs skills in the lesson plans and to analyze how the 4C skills were implemented into the lesson plans of English for grade eight. The data for this qualitative content analysis research was gathered by analyzing ten lesson plans for grade eight of junior high school in Bekasi and Jakarta. The research found that all the lesson plans included all the Four Cs skills, which consist of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. The involvement of the 4Cs skills in the 8th-grade junior high school lesson plans comprised 51% of communication skills, 69% of collaboration, 61% of critical thinking, 69% of creativity, and, the most widely used skills were collaboration and creativity with more being done in learning and assessment activities. These findings are expected to be a recommendation for scholars especially English teachers in designing lesson plans which incorporated the 4Cs skills in developing fulfillment of 21st-century skills needs. *********** Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui inkorporasi keterampilan 4C dalam RPP dan menganalisis bagaimana keterampilan 4C diimpplementasikan ke dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk kelas delapan. Data untuk penelitian kualitatif analisis isi ini dikumpulkan dengan menganalisis sepuluh RPP kelas delapan Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Bekasi dan Jakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa semua RPP mencakup semua keterampilan 4C, yang terdiri dari komunikasi, kolaborasi, berpikir kritis, dan kreativitas. Keterlibatan keterampilan 4C dalam RPP kelas delapan SMP terdiri dari 51% keterampilan komunikasi, 69% kolaborasi, 61% berpikir kritis, dan 69% kreativitas dan keterampilan yang paling banyak digunakan adalah kolaborasi dan kreativitas dengan lebih banyak dilakukan pada kegiatan pembelajaran dan penilaian. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rekomendasi bagi para sarjana khususnya guru Bahasa Inggris dalam merancang RPP yang mengintegrasikan keterampilan 4C dalam mengembangkan pemenuhan kebutuhan keterampilan abad ke-21.
