Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh social comparison dan self�esteem secara simultan terhadap social anxiety pada mahasiswa pengguna instagram. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah LSAS-SR oleh Michael Liebowitz (1987), INCOM oleh Gibbons dan Buunk (1999), dan RSES oleh Rosenberg (1965). Sampel penelitian berjumlah 213 mahasiswa pengguna instagram yang sampel ini diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Dari hasil uji hipotesis dihasilkannilai p < 0,05 yang artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara social comparison dan self-esteem secara simultan terhadap social anxiety pada mahasiswa pengguna Instagram. Social comparison dan self-esteem terbukti berpengaruh sebesar 25,5% terhadap social anxiety pada mahasiswa pengguna instagram. This study aims to determine the effect of social comparison and self-esteem simultaneously on social anxiety in students using Instagram. The measuring instruments used in this study were LSAS-SR by Michael Liebowitz (1987), INCOM by Gibbons and Buunk (1999), and RSES by Rosenberg (1965). The research sample amounted to 213 students using Instagram. This sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique. From the results of the hypothesis test, p value <0.05, which means that there is a significant influence between social comparison and self-esteem simultaneously on social anxiety in students using Instagram. Social comparison and self-esteem proved to have an effect of 25.5% on the social anxiety of students using Instagram.
