Abstract

Penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan sikap peserta didik kelas V SD dalam hal peduli lingkungan dalam muatan pembelajaran IPA menggunakan penerapan metode inkuiri. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Menteng 01 Kelurahan Menteng yang terdapat sebanyak 62 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yakni pretest posttest control group design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengunakan instrumen berupa angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode inkuiri dapat dijadikan salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik kelas V SD. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari kenaikan hasil rata-rata siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol. Rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 78,64 menjadi 87,90, sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 75,45 menjadi 84,06. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah proses pembelajaran menggunakan metode inkuiri dalam muatan pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa kelas V SDN Menteng 01 Kelurahan Menteng menjadi lebih baik. ***** This quantitative researced to improve the attitudes of fifth grade elementary school students in terms of caring for the environment in science learning content using the application of the inquiry method. The sample in this study was the fifth grade students of SDN Menteng 01, Menteng Village, which consisted of 62 students. This study used a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The research design used the pretest posttest control group design. Data collected by using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The results showed that the application of the inquiry method can be used as a method that can be used to improve the environmental care attitude of fifth grade elementary school students. This can be seen from the increase in the average results of the experimental class students which was higher than the control class. The average of the experimental class was 78.64 to 87.90, while the control class was 75.45 to 84.06. The implication of the results of this study is that the learning process using the inquiry method in science learning content can improve the environmental care attitude of the fifth grade students of SDN Menteng 01, Menteng Village for the better.
