Abstract

*ABSTRAK* Penelitian memiliki tujuan mengembangkan komik matematika materi aritmetika kelas VII SMP dengan pendekatan PMRI. Metodologi penelitian dan pengembangan mengacu pada lima tahapan utama dari model Borg dan Gall. Tahapan pertama, analisis kebutuhan guru dan siswa. Tahap kedua, perencanaan dan pengembangan produk awal. Tahap ketiga, validasi ahli materi dan bahasa serta ahli media beserta revisi produk. Tahap keempat, uji coba kelompok kecil dan tahap kelima uji coba kelompok besar oleh guru dan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 232 Jakarta. Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh persentase kelayakan produk menurut ahli materi dan bahasa 85,02%, ahli media 83,92%, uji coba kelompok kecil hasil evaluasi guru 90,03%, hasil evaluasi 12 siswa 85,88%, uji coba kelompok besar hasil evaluasi guru 88,56%, dan hasil evaluasi 29 siswa 83,40%. Rata-rata persentase kelayakan produk pada setiap tahapannya mencapai 86,14% berkategori sangat layak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat dinyatakan bahwa media komik matematika dengan pendekatan PMRI ini layak digunakan. *ABSTRACT* This research aims to develop a comic mathematics with realistic mathematics education approach on social arithmetic for seventh grade junior high school. This research refers to the Borg and Gall model with five stages. The first, needs analysis for teacher and students. The second, planning and developing the initial product. The third, the validation from experts and revise the product based on the results and suggestions from the experts. The fourth, small group test and the fifth stage large group test by teacher dan students of seventh grade in SMP Negeri 232 Jakarta. Based on this research, the percentage of the product feasibility according to material and language experts 85.02%, media experts 83.92%, the small group tested of teacher 90.03%, the evaluation of 12 students 85.88%, the large group tested of teacher 88.56%, and the evaluation of 29 students 86,14%, categorized as very feasible. Based on data, can be implied that the comic mathematics is feasible to use.
