Abstract

Parebut Seeng merupakan kesenian masyarakat Desa Cimande Kabupaten Bogor yang dilakukan pada saat akan menyelenggarakan pernikahan. Kesenian ini menggunakan properti Seeng atau dandang yang di artikan sebagai simbol wanita yang akan di pinang. Gerak yang digunakan yaitu ragam gerak silat cimande yang diiringi oleh musik Kendang Pencak Padungdung. Tujuan Penciptaan karya tari ini untuk membantu mengatasi penyampaian kesenian Parebut Seeng kepada masyarakat awam melalui karya tari, untuk mempresentasikan budaya sunda mengenai syarat meminang wanita dengan adu ketangkasan bela diri. Metode penciptaan karya tari Bengbat menggunakan pendekatan penciptaan tari menurut Alma M. Hawkins “Moving From Within” dari bukunya yang berjudul “Moving form Within : A Method For Dance Making” yang telah di terjemahkan oleh I Wayan Dibia yang berjudul “Bergerak Menurut Kata Hati: Metoda Baru dalam Menciptakan Tari. Mode penyajian pada karya tari ini mengacu pada pendapat Jacqueline M. Smith termasuk pada kategori tipe tari dramatik dengan mode penyajian Mostly Symbolic. Karya tari Bengbat menghasilkan sebuah koreografi dengan gaya tari sunda yang di dalamnya terdapat pegembangan gerak guna memperkaya motif gerak gaya tari Sunda gerak tersebut antara lain: Igel Cimande, Selut Galeong, Ukel variasi, Sembada Balik Parebut Seeng is the art of Cimande Village community, Bogor Regency, which is carried out at the time of holding a wedding. This art uses the property of Seeng or cormorant which is interpreted as a symbol of the woman who will be betel. The motion used is a variety of Cimande silat movements accompanied by Kendang Pencak Padungdung music. The purpose of the creation of this dance work is to help overcome the delivery of the art of Parebut Seeng to the general public through dance works, to present Sundanese culture regarding the requirements for proposing to women by competing for martial agility. The method of creating Bengbat dance works uses a dance creation approach according to Alma M. Hawkins "Moving From Within" from his book "Moving form Within: A Method For Dance Making" which has been translated by I Wayan Dibia entitled “Bergerak Menurut Kata Hati: Metoda Baru dalam Menciptakan Tari. The mode of presentation in this dance work refers to Jacqueline M. Smith's opinion, including the category of dramatic dance type with the Mostly Symbolic presentation mode. Bengbat dance works produce a choreography with a Sundanese dance style in which there is development of movement to enrich the movement motifs of the Sundanese dance style, including: Igel Cimande, Selut Galeong, Ukel variations, Sembada Balik
