Abstract

Penelitian sebelumnya kurang memperhatikan pengembangan bahan ajar media pembelajaran sehingga mahasiswa telah mempersepsikan desain buku ajar yang tersedia kurang praktis dan materinya kurang aplikatif dan kurang aktual. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model buku ajar berbasis teknologi mobile yang komprehensif dan aktual agar efektif dan praktis digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan dan membuat media pembelajaran. Metode penelitian ini menerapkan desain penelitian dan pengembangan Dick and Carey. Hasil penelitian ini telah menghasilkan sebuah model buku teks digital pada mata kuliah media pembelajaran yang memiliki kebaruan dari aspek materi, format media, dan fitur interaksinya. Sintak model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan pada model buku teks digital ini terdiri dari lima tahapan, yaitu: pengenalan materi sebelum tatap muka, pendalaman materi melalui diskusi kelas, praktik membuat produk, peer review dengan disertai revisi proyek, dan peningkatan pemahaman menggunakan kuis interaktif. Model fisikal buku teks digital yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini mengandung 9 kelompok materi media pembelajaran, 30 video tutorial, 10 kuis interaktif, dan telah diterbitkan dengan ISBN dalam format aplikasi Android, Google Play Book dan PDF. Hasil uji kelayakan model buku teks digital media pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata yang diberikan oleh enam validator ahli telah mencapai kategori sangat baik, yaitu 4.50 untuk aspek kebermanfaatan dan penyajian, 4.56 untuk aspek tampilan, dan 4.53 untuk aspek bahasa. Hasil uji keefektifan model buku teks digital media pembelajaran melalui uji coba satu-satu, uji coba kelompok kecil, dan uji coba kelompok besar menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata n-gain yang diperoleh telah mencapai kategori tinggi dan persentasenya berada pada kategori efektif dan cukup efektif, yaitu 83%, 74%, dan 74%. Hasil uji kepraktisan model buku teks digital media pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki respons yang sangat baik terhadap kepraktisan model ini dengan nilai rata-rata 4.26 untuk aspek kebermanfaatan, dan 4.33 untuk aspek kemudahan dan kepuasan. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini juga membahas beberapa manfaat dan tantangan penggunaan model buku teks digital media pembelajaran. Temuan penelitian ini merekomendasikan langkah-langkah pengembangan dan penggunaan model pembelajaran buku teks digital media pembelajaran sebagai solusi alternatif untuk peningkatan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan dan membuat media pembelajaran. Previous research paid little attention to the development of instructional media teaching materials so that students perceived the available textbook designs as less practical and the material as less applicable and less actual. Therefore, this study aims to develop a comprehensive and actual mobile technology-based textbook model so that it is effective and practical to use to improve student's abilities in using and creating learning media. This research method applies the Dick and Carey research and development design. The results of this study have produced a digital textbook model for learning media courses that has novelty in terms of material aspects, media formats, and interaction features. The syntax of the learning model developed on the digital textbook model consists of five stages: introduction of material before face-to-face meetings, deepening of material through class discussions, the practice of making products, peer review accompanied by project revisions, and increased understanding using interactive quizzes. The digital textbook physical model developed in this study contains nine groups of learning media materials, 30 video tutorials, and ten interactive quizzes and has been published with an ISBN in the Android application format, Google Play Book, and PDF. The results of the feasibility test of the digital learning media textbook model show that the average score given by the six expert validators has reached a very good category, namely 4.50 for the usability and presentation aspects, 4.56 for the display, and 4.53 for the language aspect. The results of testing the effectiveness of the digital learning media textbook model through one-on-one trials, small group trials, and large group trials show that the average n-gain value obtained has reached the high category. The percentages of n-gain are in the effective and moderately effective categories, namely 83%, 74%, and 74%. The results of the practicality test of the digital learning media textbook model show that students have a very good response to the practicality of this model, with an average score of 4.26 for the usability aspect and 4.33 for the convenience and satisfaction aspect. In addition, the results of this study also discuss some of the benefits and challenges of using digital textbook models as learning media. This study's findings recommend developing and using digital textbook learning models as learning media as an alternative solution for increasing students' abilities to use and create learning media.
