Abstract

Sakha Andika. Persepsi Mahasiswa Tentang Profesi Guru (Studi Deskriptif Pada Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial FIS UNJ). Skripsi (Jakarta: Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2023). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tentang persepsi mahasiswa tentang profesi guru yang dikaji dalam aspek kognitif, afektif, dan konatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Program Studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Jakarta Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui kuesioner, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada mahasiswa prodi pendidikan IPS khususnya pada Angkatan 2019-2021 sebanyak 62 orang. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa tentang profesi guru berada dalam kategori baik dengan total skor 8.268 dari skor maksimal 9.920. Melalui data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa tentang profesi guru dalam aspek kognitif memperoleh skor 3.553 dalam kategori sangat baik, kemudian dalam aspek afektif memperoleh skor 2.180 dalam kategori sangat baik, dan dalam aspek konatif memperoleh skor 2.535 dalam kategori baik. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa mahasiswa telah memiliki pengetahuan dan penilaian yang sangat baik tentang profesi guru dan kompetensi keguruan, serta terlihat bahwa Sebagian mahasiswa program studi pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial memilih guru sebagai profesi karena mereka menganggap profesi guru adalah profesi yang mulia dan berperan penting bagi masa depan bangsa. Kata Kunci: Persepsi, Mahasiswa, Profesi, Guru. This research aims to find out the description about College Students perceptions on teacher profession in cognitive, affective, and conative aspects. This research was held in Jakarta, at Faculty of Social Science, State University of Jakarta. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with quantitative approach. The technique used to collect data in this research are through questionnaires, documentations, and literature review. The sample in this research is determined by using purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted on social science education students especially in the 2019-2021 batch of 62 people. The results of the research concluded that college student’s perceptions about teacher profession were in the good category with a total score 8.268 of a maximum score of 9.920. Through the data, it shows that the college student perception about teacher profession in cognitive aspect obtained a total score 3.553 in the very good category, then the college student perception about teacher profession in affective aspect obtained a total score 2.180 in the very good category, and the college student perception about teacher profession in conative aspect obtained a total score 2.535 in the good category. Based on these data’s, it can be said that the college student already has a very good knowledge and judgements about teacher profession and its competences. Also, it appears that some of the social science education students choose to be a teacher because they assume teacher is a noble profession and play an important role in the future of the nation.
