Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis penghilangan bunyi yang terkandung dalam video YouTube pada saluran Easy French, juga faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya penghilangan bunyi berdasarkan teori Crowley dan Bowern. Pelesapan bunyi bahasa oleh Crowley dan Bowern terbagi menjadi lima, yakni apheresis (aphérèse), syncope, apocope, cluster reduction (réduction des groupes de consonnes), dan haplology (haplologie), sedangkan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi terjadinya penghilangan bunyi bahasa diambil menjadi dua, yakni perbedaan budaya, dan penyederhanaan. Dalam proses penelitian, pendeketan yang digunakan merupakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Penggunaan teknik analisis data mengacu pada teori Miles dan Huberman, yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dalam mereduksi data, peneliti mengeliminasi data-data yang tidak relevan dengan masalah penelitian dan mengambil data-data yang mengandung jenis-jenis penghilangan bunyi bahasa Prancis. Kemudian, penyajian data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tabel data dan diklasifikasi menurut jenis penghilangan bunyi dan data dianalisis kembali berdasarkan kecenderungan terjadinya penghilangan bunyi. Setelah dilakukan analisis, penarikan kesimpulan dilakukan sebagai tahap akhir dari penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa terdapat 4 jenis penghilangan bunyi bahasa Prancis yang ditemukan dalam video YouTube pada saluran Easy French dari 52 data yang ada, yakni 1 aphérèse, 7 syncope, 18 apocope, dan 26 réduction des groupes de consonnes, sementara jenis penghilangan bunyi jenis haplologie tidak ditemukan. Sedangkan faktor yang memengaruhi terjadinya penghilangan bunyi bahasa Prancis dalam video ditemukan seimbang antara budaya dan penyederhanaan. Melalui penelitian ini, diharapkan para pembelajar bahasa Prancis dapat mengetahui dan memahami penghilangan bunyi bahasa sebagai bagian dari lingkup fenomena fonologis dan diharapkan fenomena tersebut dapat diajarkan dalam mata kuliah fonetik dan fonologi. Kata kunci : Perubahan Bunyi, Penghilangan Bunyi, YouTube ***** This study is aimed at revealing the types of sound loss contained in YouTube videos on the Easy French channel, as well as the factors that cause deafness based on Crowley and Bowern theory. Crowley and Bowern divide language sounds into five, namely apheresis (aphérèse), syncope, apocope, cluster reduction (réduction des groupes de consonnes), and haplology (haplologie), while the factors that influence the occurrence of language sound removal are taken into two , namely cultural differences, and simplification. In the research process, the approach used is a qualitative approach with content analysis methods. The use of data analysis techniques refers to the theory of Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. In reducing the data, the researcher eliminates data that is not relevant to the research problem and takes data that contains types of omissions in French. Then, the presentation of the data is carried out using a data table and classified according to the type of sound omission and the data is re-analyzed based on the tendency of sound omission. After the analysis, conclusions are drawn as the final stage of the research. The research shows that there are 4 types of deletion in French found in YouTube videos on the Easy French channel from 52 available datas, 1 data is apheresis, 7 data are syncope, 18 data are apocope, and 26 data are cluster reduction , while haplology is not found. Meanwhile, the factors that influence the occurrence of the omission of French in the video are found to be balanced between culture and simplification. Through this research, it is hoped that French language learners can know and understand the phenomenon of language deletion as part of the scope of phonology and it is hoped that this phenomenon can be taught in phonetics and phonology courses.
