Abstract

ABSTRAK Thoriqh Sudira Januriandariento, Strategi Adaptasi Pengelola Kost-kostan Pasca Pandemi Covid-19 (Studi Deskriptif Kost-kostan di Lingkungan Universitas Negeri Jakarta). Skripsi. Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. 2023 Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Mengetahui bagaimana kondisi pengelolaan kost-kostan di masa pandemi covid-19 berlangsung, (2) Mengidentifikasi bagaimana strategi adaptasi yang dilakukan pengelola kost-kostan pasca menghadapi pandemi covid-19. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan observasi, wawancara dasar, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Subjek penelitian ini terdapat 3 orang pengelola kost sebagai responden. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini ialah : (1) Pelaku usaha kost terdampak dalam situasi terjadinya pandemi covid-19. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan kondisi kost yang kehilangan para konsumennya. Sebagian besar konsumen kost di kelurahan Rawamangun merupakan mahasiswa yang akhirnya memutuskan untuk tidak melanjutkan penyewaan lagi karena kegiatan yang dialihkan secara online. Namun, masih ada kost-kostan yang memiliki penghuni sejak awal masa pandemi karena keterpaksaan pekerjaan. Hal ini membuat pengelola harus memiliki strategi dalam menjaga kenyamanan penghuni yang tersisa di tengah keadaan pandemi. (2) Pengelola dituntut untuk survive dengan tetap melanjutkan pengelolaan ditengah masa pandemi berlangsung karena masih ada beberapa penghuni yang kenyamanan dan keamanannya merupakan tanggung jawab pengelola kost-kostan. Pada akhirnya terbentuklah strategi adaptasi dari para pengelola . Strategi adaptasi yang paling utama dilakukan ialah pencegahan penularan bagi penghuni dan juga pengelola, dari diri sendiri dan juga lingkungan yang harus dijaga tetap bersih dan sehat. Kata Kunci : Pengelola, Strategi Adaptasi, Kost-kostan, Pandemi Covid-19 ********** ABSTRACT Thoriqh Sudira Januriandariento, Adaptation Strategy for Boarding House Managers After the Covid-19 Pandemic (Descriptive Study of Boarding Houses Around in Jakarta State University). Thesis. Jakarta: Social Science Education Study Program. Faculty of Social Sciences, Jakarta State University. 2023 This study aims to: (1) Find out how the conditions of boarding house management during the Covid-19 pandemic take place, (2) Identify how the adaptation strategies carried out by boarding house managers after facing the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques carried out are observation, basic interviews, in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The subject of this study was 3 boarding house managers as respondents. The results obtained from this study are: (1) Boarding house business actors are affected in the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is evidenced by the condition of the boarding house that has lost its consumers. Most of the boarding house consumers in Rawamangun village are students who finally decided not to continue renting anymore because the activities were diverted online. However, there are still boarding houses that have had residents since the beginning of the pandemic due to the compulsion of work. This makes managers have to have a strategy in maintaining the comfort of the remaining residents in the midst of a pandemic. (2) Managers are required to survive by continuing management in the midst of a pandemic because there are still some residents whose comfort and safety are the responsibility of the boarding house manager. In the end, an adaptation strategy is formed from the managers. The most important adaptation strategy carried out is the prevention of transmission for residents and managers, from themselves and also the environment that must be kept clean and healthy.
