Abstract

ABSTRAK Fizha Zoel Azizah. Hubungan Fear of Failure Terhadap Prokrastinasi Akademik Mahasiswa Tata Busana Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Skripsi, Jakarta : Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Busana Fakultas Tekni, Universitas Negeri Jakrta, 2023 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu hubungan antara fear of failure dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif korelasional dengan metode survei, dengan populasi penelitian yaitu mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Tata Busana Universitas Negeri Jakarta angkatan 2018, 2019 dan 2020. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah stratified random sampling, dengan jumlah partisipan penelitian sebanyak 115 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan skala fear of failure yaitu Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory (PFAI) dari Conroy dengan item sebanyak 22 dan skala prokrastinasi akademik yaitu Academic Procrastination Scale (APS) dari Mccloskey sebanyak 21 item. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah spearman rank. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.347 dengan nilai signifikansi p = 0.001 (p<0.05), yang berarti terdapat hubungan positif yang cukup signifikan antara fear of failure dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa tata busana. The Correlation Fear of Failure and Academic Procrastination of Fashion Students, Jakarta State University, Thesis, Jakarta: Fashion Design Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Jakarta State University, 2023 This study aims to find out the relationship between fear of failure and academic procrastination in college students. The design of this research is based on a quantitative correlation by survey method with the study population, which is college students in Fashion Education at Jakarta State University class of 2018, 2019 and 2020. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling, with the number of research participants as many as 115 people. Data collection was carried out using a scale of fear of failure that is Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory (PFAI) from Conroy with 22 items and the academic procrastination scale, that is Academic procrastination Scale (APS) from McCloskey as many as 21 items. The analysis technique used is the Spearman rank method. The results showed a correlation coefficient is 0.347 with a significance value of p = 0.001 (p <0.05), which means that there is a significant positive relationship between fear of failure with academic procrastination in fashion design students Keywords : fear of failure, academic procrastination, college students.
